Baji Kohaku P.O.V.
Smiling I look at the finished drawing of Yua. It really came out beautiful. I stand up and start wrapping it for transport. "Fancy seeing you here" I hear behind me. I smile slightly. "Is it? This is the art classroom" I say, keeping my back turned to him. "I know. But that you broke up with me doesn't me we can't be friends right?" Mitsuya asks. "I guess" I say, and put the easement away before turning around. "What happened to your face?" He asks frowning. "My face?" I ask, touching my lip. Mitsuya walks over, softly takes my chin between his fingertips and turns my head slightly. "Did you get into a fight or something?" He asks. "My lip is busted, that doesn't mean that I got into a fight" I say, pulling my head away. "How did you busted your lip?" Mitsuya asks. "Hit my head standing up and bit my lip in the process" I say. It's obvious that he doesn't believe. "Are you being bullied?" Mitsuya asks and I chuckle. "Do I look like someone that gets bullied?" I ask amused. "You can never bite your lip that hard" Mitsuya says. "Why don't you try hitting your head that hard" I say, rubbing the top of my head. "Haitani Ran isn't doing this to you, is he?" Mitsuya asks. "Why are you so obsessed with him?" I ask, as I start gathering my stuff. "I'm not obsessed with him. He's always been lurking around you since Baji's death. Like a shark that smells blood" Mitsuya says annoyed. "And he's like 18" he adds. "Suddenly three years is much older?" I ask raising my eyebrows. "He might be my neighbor now, but I barely see him. I hit my head Takashi-kun. And that's it" I say. Stop making this more difficult! I sigh deeply as I lift my bag on my shoulder, and grab the wrapped up drawing. "It's really nothing else. But thank you for your concern" I say. Mitsuya sighs. "I'm just worried that.." he hesitates. "That you're putting yourself unnecessarily at risk" he says. I smile slightly. "Now why would I do that?" I ask. "For me.. or the others" Mitsuya says. "I'm not, and I won't. Don't worry" I say, walking out of the classroom and close the door behind Mitsuya. "Do you promise?" Mitsuya asks. "Of course" I say, crossing my fingers behind my back.
I close my eyes as I feel Ran's fingertips tracing the lines of the tattoo on my back, followed by soft kisses on my shoulders and back. "You're really into Kitsune and Yokai aren't you?" He whispers. "Hmm I like the mythology. It's interesting" I say as I feel his lips on the back of my neck. "But isn't your tattoo also a big Yokai?" I ask. "Does that matter?" Ran asks as he lies down next to me. "No." I mumble. Ran presses a soft kiss on my cheek. "If you're into that, why don't you paint or draw it more often?" Ran asks. "I want to.. it just never get it the way I want it to" I whisper. Ran turns my head toward him and kisses me. "I have faith in you." Ran says. "You do?" I ask, as I feel his fingertips stroking down my spine, and then op and down my lower back. "Of course I do. I said I'd make your dreams come true, didn't I?" Ran asks amused. "Yeah, I just don't get how" I say. "Hmm that's not your concern baby" Ran whispers, kissing me again. "I'm going to be good now" I mumble. "I know you will" Ran says in a soothing tone as he softly strokes my lower lip with his thumb. I pucker my lips, kissing his thumb. Ran smiles delighted and as he pushes his thumb into my mouth, I suck softly. "Are you trying to turn me on?" Ran asks amused. I look at him as innocently as I can. "I wouldn't know how" I say. "Right" Ran says amused. "You're lucky you have to go" he says. "Hmm that time already?" I ask. "Unfortunately yeah" Ran says, pouting slightly. I press a soft kiss on his lower lip. "What would you do if I didn't had to go?" I ask. Ran lays his head on his pillow and looks up to me. "Are you sure you want to know?" He asks, smiling amused. "Hmm I think I already do" I say. Ran grins. "I think so too" he says. I kiss him. "Good night" he says. "Yeah. You too. Behave yourself" I say, kissing him again. "Hmm I can't promise that" he says playfully as I put on my shirt. "Good night" I say amused before leaving his room. I ball my fist as it trembles slightly and take a deep breath as I close the front door behind me.
I look up at the sky, and the snow floating down and the small clouds my breath is forming in the air. "There's just something about winter, isn't there?" I ask. "Is there?" Ran asks. "I just think it's cold" he says. I chuckle. "It is, but there's something serene about it" I say. "That's because you look at it from an artist's point of view" Ran says. I look at him. "And that's different?" I ask. "Of course" Ran says. "You see the beauty in things" he says, softly stroking my cheek. "Whereas I only see the ugly side of everything" he adds. I raise my eyebrows slightly. "You do?" I ask surprised. "Yeah. Human beings are pieces of shit, and the terrible things they do, is simply human nature, myself included" he says. "That's why I like spending time with you" Ran strokes my hair behind my ear. "Besides being beautiful, you still see the beauty in things. I like that" he says. I blush embarrassed. "I don't know about that" I mumble. "Yeah you do" Ran chuckles. "Let's get out of the cold huh? I'll treat you to some hot chocolate" he says. Ran grabs my hand and intertwines his fingers with mine as we walk toward the exit of the park. "Your hand is so cold" he says, as he brings my hand to his face and presses a small kiss on my fingertips before leaving it between us. "It'll warm up soon enough" I say, letting go of his hand and pushing them both in the pockets of my coat as we walk up the shopping streets of Roppongi. I'm not really sure why Ran choose a table near a window, but at the same time I like looking at the people walking by. "It looks like you know what your next project is going to be about" Ran says, as he puts a hot chocolate with whipped cream in front of me, before sitting down across from me with his own. "I think I do" I say smiling. "Do you want to tell me?" Ran asks. "Hmm I'm not sure about it, I'll show you when it's finished" I say. Ran leans his chin on his hand. "I'm looking forward to it" he says. "That's kind of you to say" I say smiling. "Hmm I mean it though" he says.
