Chapter 13: KENNY SQUAD

Levi: KENNY!!!

The scene picks up where we left off as Levi threw his sword and Kenny deflects it.

Kenny: kaboom!

He fires his gun, but Levi moves fast enough to dodge the blast.

Levi: Oswald, run!

The two then take off as more shots were fired.

Kenny: what's this? You got a runt of you're own? Well let's see how much you've taught him!

He and his men take off after them, and it becomes a dangerous game of chase. Since the boy wasn't use to ODM yet, Zen Aku lended him a hand by changing his legs and leaping around.

Oswald: this guy's fast! He's like the Captain but with guns!

Zen Aku: guess we know where he gets his skills from. But, we got other problems.

Looking what he meant, Oswald realized it's a distraction as he saw one of the gun men taking control of the wagon. He and Levi were going to them, but more attackers assaulted them, and were chasing them throughout the district.

Levi: shit! They predicted our every damn movement!

Oswald: how do we loose them?!

Levi: follow me!

Hearing his orders, Oswald follows Levi as they continue to dodge and weave the blasts until they make it to a pub. They crash in, and everyone's shocked to see them.

Man: it's Captain Levi...

Owner: (nervous) w-welcome to our establishment!

Levi: (wipes blood from his eye) tch! At this rate, the whole squad will be killed.

Oswald: not to mention we'll loose the wagon.

Kenny: (outside) it's the damnedest thing. I seem to be smelling a couple of rats in this fine establishment. Come on out little rodents. (Jumps in) a sheriff is here! And I aim to exterminate all the vermin I can find! Bang! Bang!

He doesn't see either of them, but they're nearby as they were bucked under the counter to the bar.

Kenny: oh come on! You here or not?!

Levi: right here, Kenny. Been a while I really thought you'd be dead by now, what with all the MPs you were butchering. But now you're great friends, huh?

Kenny: (sighs) yeah, well, adults do things plenty of you kids can't understand. (Mocking) oh right, my mistake. You're supposed to be an adult now, but you're still a runt it's hard to tell. And speaking of runts, looks like you took in one of your own. (To Oswald) you gotta be special if you're tagging along with punks like the Survey Corps.

Oswald: yeah, something like that.

Kenny: well tell me, did your mentor here ever tell you what happens to a cornered rat? Cause if did, then you'll know that where you run, every corner will have a bullet waiting.

True to his claim, multiple members of his squad were fight outside, waiting for any movement to occur. Back inside, Kenny grabs a chair and throws it at the bar, shattering bottles, to intimidate the two scouts. Neither respond to it.

Kenny: hey, Levi... you must've become a scout for a reason. But I think I know what that reason is. We were forced to survive in that little hell-hole. Giving everything we have just to stay alive. So when we found out just how big the world really was, you can bet it hurt like hell. But you know what saved us? (Picks up another chair) found something we enjoyed doing. It's just that simple. Every man needs himself a hobby. Maybe the only source of enrichment he can have in this retched world.
