Chapter 9: Silver and Aleyah ~ Part 1

In a peaceful future two-hundred years from now, there appeared Silver and Aleyah surrounded by a turquoise aura. Silver placed himself and Aleyah on the grassy ground. The yellow hedgehog looked at him in confusion. Then, what she saw behind him was a bright blue sky. Some kind of force was dragging her to look at her surroundings. She let out a gasp of awe at what she just saw. Green grasses, trees, plants, amazing buildings made into a city and best of all, she could smell fresh air in a beautiful environment.

Wow. I wasn't expecting this. I thought the future might end up being apocalyptic, she thought.

That's when a bright smile appeared on her face. Then, some kind of feeling told her that she wanted to explore it.

Seeing Aleyah's reaction, Silver smiled warmly at her as a blush stsrted appearing on his cheeks without even realizing it. Ever since he first saw her, she reminded him of the bright sun he had seen in the future. As he thought of that, he felt a wierd warm feeling inside of him and that feeling made him wanna run to her, hug her and most of all... he wanted her to be by his side. In his arms. Silver shook his head snapping himself back to reality.

That's when he walked by Aleyah's right side smiling at the environment. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Absolutely, Silver!" said Aleyah enthusiastically as she twirled with reaction. "I thought you might need help in saving the future or somethin'!"

Once Silver heard this, he let out a light chuckle in response.

Aleyah then, turned her head to him. "So, what do you need my help for? "

Silver's facial expression turned into an expression that says "It's complicated." And so...

"Well... you see..." he said scratching his back, then he laid his arm down. "...it's about your parents."

You can see Aleyah's mixed expression of confusion and surprise on her face. "My parents? What happened to them?"

You can see Silver's hands fidgeting together as he tried to recap things that had happened earlier.
"It's hard to explain. In fact, that's all I know."

"What do you mean? Who told you that?" asked Aleyah still in confusion.

"Well..."

Earlier...

One night, when Silver was asleep in his own campsite, he barely heard a whisper. At first, he didn't mind and continued to sleep, but when he heard his name, he kept turning and tossing his body over.

"Silver."

Choices of struggle occurred in him. Silver tried to ignore the whispers ringing in his ear, but something was pulling him to make him hear it over and over again.

"Silver."

There it goes again. Silver pulled out his pillow where he's currently laying his head on. Then, he reached the front sides in his ears to prevent himself from hearing it. Hearing his name again and again is frustrating. But still...

"Silver."

This time, he'd had enough of this struggle. Silver fluttered his eyes open and rose into a sitting position. All he could see was a black blur. He tried seeking in closer to take a better look, but he never had any details.

Once his teary and misty vision turned into a clear one, Silver finally got a chance to look at the details of the black blur. He's wearing a black cloak and hood with orange gloves like Aleyah was wearing. There's no other detail he managed to get.
