Samantha

"Kim, no offense, but I have no desires whatsoever to go out tonight. I have tons of work to do, and I need to take advantage of the quietness of my dorm. Russell is usually out until late Friday nights, so I have the whole place to myself. I need to study." I grunted in protest. She knows how important school is to me. She has been hassling me all week to go out with her and some friends she made to watch a movie tonight.

"Come on, Sam. You've been studying all week long. You still have about three weeks before your test, you said it yourself. Come on, give yourself a little break. It's just one night honey." she continued to persuade me. Though, I was not going to budge. I need to study, and that is that. "Samantha, I am not going to give up until you say yes. Do you realize that you haven't gone out at all, since the party Russell invited you to? That was almost two months ago. Come on, now. We're going out to the movies tonight, I'm going to introduce you to my friends, you are going to make her friends and enjoy your evening, got it?"

I protested silently, slumping my shoulders and closing my eyes. I guess I'm at disadvantage here. She was not going to give up, and I was not getting much studying here, because she wasn't leaving me alone. "Fine. But one movie only, and after that, I'm gone. Got it?" I said, annoyed with her presence. She squealed in excitement, jumping up and down. She quickly pulled me into a hug, making me regret my decision already.

(8 p.m.)

I stood by my mirror, finishing up getting ready for tonight. I decided on a simple black t-shirt with a V-neck line and tight blue jeans. I made my makeup as light and natural as I could, leaving my hair down, naturally.

I had just gotten my hair cut a little, just a little off my mid-back, and highlighted my hair a little from the dull dark brown

I had just gotten my hair cut a little, just a little off my mid-back, and highlighted my hair a little from the dull dark brown. I grabbed my bag, and unplugged my phone from the charger, making my way out of the room.
