Sam

Mom looked unhappy, and if she's unhappy, it only means one thing- things were about to get nasty!

"Mom, what are you doing here?" I ask, going over and kissing her cheek.

"Well, hello to you too, Samantha." I smile and look at Russell. We're both trying to decipher what she's doing here. Maybe she found out dad was here. If dad told her I was leaving, perhaps she decided to come by and say bye.

"I'll cut to the chase. I told you I was going to get an apartment for you and Craig, and so I did." she looks at Russell up and down in disgust. But her words hit me like a bucket of ice-cold water.

"Mom, no. You can't do this? You can't obligate me to move out with someone I don't want to be with." I was feeling distressed. Why can't she see that Russell is a nice guy? And I really like him.

"Watch me. I already canceled the rest of your stay here for the remaining of the year." my eyes widened in shock at her words.

"Mom! How can you do this?"

"Ma'am, with all due respect, I don't think-" Russell holds my hand, making mom more agitated.

"With all due respect, nothing, young man. I will not stand around and see my daughter waste her time with you. She will do as I say, and not you or anyone will get in the way."

"Mom, this isn't fair. I am not a little girl. You can't just boss around." my eyes began to tear. I was getting frustrated. Do frustrated with her. There was no going around her; when she's made up her mind, no one can change it.

"Mom, please!"

"Enough, Samantha. I told you to stay away from this boy. I warned you that there would be consequences for your bad behavior. Enough is enough. He, along with that wretched girl, Kimberly, and that -" she waves her hand as if everything I do and everyone around me disgusts her.

"Boy, Camden!" she says Brandin's name wrong, waving her hand frustratingly.

"Brandon!" I correct her, getting her to look at me madly.

"Whatever... I have had enough, Samantha. Just look at you? You have been nothing but promiscuous, disobedient, and rebellious. Craig is who you are meant to be. His family and ours have already agreed to it, and you know that." she takes a step forward, grabbing my hand and Russell's and pulling them apart.

"You will apologize to Craig once we are on our Christmas vacation. They will be joining us this year. You will make up with him and move in with him as soon as we return. And as for you-" she pulls me to her back, pointing at Russell, who looked both hurt and mad.

"You will stay away from my daughter. I forbid you to talk to her; I forbid you to look at her, call her, pursue her, seduce her. Is that understood, young man?" she was insane.
