Part Three- A Surprise Visit In My World of Confusion

The next morning I got up and took a shower like usual as well as did my hair and makeup. I put on my uniform and looked in the mirror. For some reason, I looked extra good today but I didn't do it on purpose, who knows. I said my daily affirmations and got the rest of my stuff together. Fleur Delacour taught me why I should do my affirmations every day and how to do them. She was one of the very few people I could stand at that school.

Before I finished getting all my stuff together there was a knock at my door "Come in." I said from the other side of the room. As the words finished leaving my mouth Pansy, Blaise, Mattheo, and Theodore came busting in, literally. "Kaitlyn come on, hurry up you've got to see this." Blaise said breathily. I never even asked why I just quickly threw my stuff in my bag and ran out the door with them.

When we got to the courtyard there were a crazy amount of students talking and pressed against the wall on one side of the courtyard leaning over the foundation. "What is all of this about?" I asked Theodore as he was standing right next to me. "No clue," He replied and looked back out to the commotion.​​ There was a carriage being flown by horses that were landing on the runway. Before we could look anymore to see what was happening an announcement was made. "All students must return to the great hall at once." Professor McGonagall said. Pansy ran over to me and linked arms as we rushed off to the great hall and the boys followed.

We all sat down at our usual spot and there sat Draco. I didn't know what to say if I should say anything. But thankfully I couldn't think too much into it as Dumbledore started to speak. "This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well" He was interrupted by Filch but then continued "Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event: The Triwizard Tournament! Now for those of you who don't know, The Triwizard Tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single student is to compete. Now let me be clear. If chosen, you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint-hearted. But more of that later. For now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic." Dumbledore concluded.

Please tell me this is not happening. Why do they have to come here? They are going to make my life a living hell. "I think they're following you, Kaitlyn." Malfoy said with that stupid smirk. "I don't think they wanted you to leave." Blaise added. I rolled my eyes as I heard the doors start to open. "Now watch carefully, they are going to be all extra with their entrance." I said to the group motioning over to the door. "Oh and don't forget about the butterflies." I added before watching the door fully open. Who would have guessed, I was right. "Do they teach you how to sigh and walk at the same time for the best entrance appeal?" Theodore asked sarcastically. "To be quite frank, yes, yes they do." I replied in a normal voice. We all looked back at the group of girls in the blue dresses. Fleur was front and center. I must say I missed her a bit. "Your headmistress is huge." Blaise said leaning to me but saying loud enough for the others to hear. "Not my headmistress anymore but yes she is and it's not any less intimidating when she's yelling at you." I replied back still looking to the front of the room.

"And now our friends from the north. Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang." Dumbledore said as everyone looked back at the doors but I looked at Malfoy "It's your people Draco." I said pointing to the door. He scoffed and mocked me "It's your people Kaitlyn." pointing to the front of the room. Durmstrang boys just seemed like try-hards so I didn't care much about their entrance until students started whispering all around "It's Krum." I turned to see that it was indeed Victor Krum. I bet Ron was drooling right about now.

We started to eat and talk after a while the Headmaster asked for our attention at the front of the room.

He went on to talk about how the student that wins will have eternal glory blah, blah, blah. At one point the ceiling started to act up but Mad-eye moody had stopped it, he was the most successful auror there was. He must have come in sometime during the speech. Mr. Crouch then came forward, he worked at the ministry. He had said that no student under the age of seventeen was allowed to compete in the tournament, that's fine by me. There was much commotion when he said that I even heard the twins yell from across the room "That's rubbish" After a few seconds of complaining Dumbledore told everyone to be quiet and then brought down a barrier that was around something. The Goblet of Fire. It had a very large blue flame coming from it and the fire just danced peacefully. Classes were canceled for that day to get everyone settled in and it was now night.
