Part Seven- Time

EMILY'S POV:

The night flew by for the most part and it was now morning. Cedric came in early and brought me a hot chocolate since I didn't like coffee. "Hey I wanted to talk to you about something, I was going to talk to you and Kaitlyn together but that's not really possible right now." Cedric said while sitting down. "Yeah of course what is it." I replied to him with slight concern. "Well I've been thinking and I want to enter in the tournament, I was planning on putting my name in today since it's the last day to do it. Before you say anything I know what I'm getting into but Emily I really think I can do it and I'll do fine, maybe even win." He explained. "Well I can't 100% talk on Kaitlyn's part but I could give you a good idea what she would say..." "Go on." Cedric said with a small laugh. "Give me a second I have to channel my inner Kaitlyn... Cedric Amos Diggory. I love you but I hope you know you're fucking insane. I mean people die in these things and I can't tell you not to enter because we both know you wouldn't listen but you need to really think about this. If you get hurt from doing something stupid I'm not going to feel sorry for you but I will sit there and laugh at you and tell you that I was right as always. Also please don't forget if you're competing you're leaving me with a stressed-out Emily, I can barely deal with her on a regular day Ced!... You know what I'm not going to say anything else because you're not going to listen but just don't be stupid because I can't lose you and if you tell anybody that I'll hurt you." I said imitating Kaitlyn. "I think you got it down well enough, if I closed my eyes I could have been listening to Kaitlyn Elizabeth herself." Cedric said laughing at my remarks. I let out a soft sigh before saying anything "I may not like it but I will support you if that is what you want to do just please don't do anything stupid." I said. "I must say you took it better than I thought you would, will you go with me to the great hall to put my name in." Cedric said. "Yes."

We walked out of the infirmary and stopped at the courtyard before going to the great hall. "It's raining and she's missing it." I said as I turned to Cedric. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his chest before speaking "I know but just think soon enough she will be back jumping around and dancing in the rain making everyone think she's insane but she won't care because that's just who she is." It seemed hard for him to get some parts out but he didn't get upset. "Please come back." I said under my breath looking up at the rain clouds.

By the time we went to the great hall we were soaked from being in the rain but no one paid any attention to that. A couple of our friends came up to us and started to hype Cedric up before he put his name in the goblet. They pushed him into the circle and he walked up to the goblet. Cedric stood there for a minute holding the piece of parchment above the flame before eventually putting it in. I was surprised as to how hesitant he was to put it in the goblet as he sounded so confident about it earlier. He walked out of the circle and put his arm around my shoulder as all our friends were cheering him on. We all walked out of the great hall and talked under a covered part outside. I couldn't stay with Kaitlyn tonight because I still needed to be there for Cedric so I knew I needed to go talk to Mattheo or Theodore. "Hey I need to go talk to Mattheo and Theodore real quick but I can meet back up with you guys in a bit." I whispered to Cedric. He nodded and gave me a kiss on the forehead before I headed to the Slytherin common room to see if I could the boys.

Once I got there I was let in by another student. I walked in and saw Blaise sitting on the couch reading. "Oh hey, Lupin I didn't expect to see you here, what's up?" He said with a warm smile. "Hey Blaise, I just wanted to talk to either Theodore or Mattheo about staying with Kaitlyn tonight do you know where they are?" I asked him as I walked over to the couches. "Um yeah Nott is up in his dorm but I haven't seen Riddle since last night." "Okay, thanks." I said with an awkward smile. "You don't know where Nott's room is do you." Blaise said laughing while standing up. "Yeah, no" I laughed as well. "Come on love I'll show you." Blaise said, motioning me to follow him. We went up the stairs and through the boy's dormitory hallway until we got to Theodore's room. "Open up Nott, we need you." Blaise said while knocking on Theodore's door. A few seconds later he opened the door. "What's up?" Theodore said, looking between me and Blaise. "I was just going to ask if you or Mattheo could stay with Kaitlyn tonight? I would but I still have to be with Cedric." "Yeah definitely, I'll do it. I like being with her anyway so it really doesn't bother me." Theodore said with a smile. I was happy that it wasn't a chore for him to stay with her and that he would rather stay with her overnight than have someone else do it. "Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver." I said to him. "I wouldn't go that far if I were a lifesaver Kaitlyn would be awake by now." Theodore said under his breath a bit. "Your right that your not a lifesaver but even if you were you couldn't wake her because her life isn't in need of saving." Blaise piped up and said. "Yeah okay well I'll get some stuff together and I'll head over after dinner if that sounds good." Theodore said. "That sounds great thanks, Theodore." I replied. "Literally anytime." He said with another smile.
