Morning came with bliss and the blonde boy that I love was stroking my hair. "Bonjour Mi Amor, bien dormir? (Hello my love, sleep well?)" "Oui, et vous? (Yes, and you?)" I replied sleepily. "Comme ci comme ça (so so), I was worried about hurting you so I kept waking up. But I did get up and go through your book and left you some notes." Draco smiled. "Really! Which one?" I said excitedly. "Pride and Prejudice, it's one of your favorites and I've read it multiple times so I thought you would like it if I wrote some things in it for you." He explained pulling me close to him. "I love it! Thank you so much, Dray." I pulled him close and kissed him. "Anything for you darling." He smiled warmly, the kind of smile Narcissa gives you. We eventually got up and went to the common room where Blaise and Theo were arguing. "Kaitlyn! Thank god now you can stop these two arguing." Pansy said annoyed while giving me a hug. Blaise and Theo jumped up and ran over to me, "What is your favorite color?" They asked at the same time rather loudly. "Why are you yelling at her this early in the morning?" Draco questioned, wrapping his arms around me from behind. "I'm sorry Kaitlyn. Blaise and I were talking and then we brought up your favorite color. Blaise said it's white so I told him he was wrong because your favorite color is emerald green." Theodore explained. "Well, you are both right. Those are my two favorite colors, I like them equally." I laughed leaning my head against Draco's chest. "Anyways what's actually important and needs to be asked instead of your favorite color is how are you feeling?" Pansy grabbed my hand. "I'm okay, a little sore but nothing too bad." I smiled at her. "Did you see my snacks?" Theo asked. "Yes, Theo I saw your snacks" I laughed.

We decided to go and grab breakfast before we did anything else because I was hungry. I took a deep breath before walking out of the common room. Knowing I would see everyone made me a bit weary but it would be done one way or another. My body was slightly sore but most of all my legs and especially my ankle where the rope was tied. So I decided to take this as an opportunity to be kinda lazy. I grabbed Draco's hand and pulled him back slightly. "What's wrong love?" He asked. "Um, nothing I was just wondering if I could get on your back because my legs hurt and it hurts to walk on my ankle." I explained nervously. "Of course my love." He smiled before picking me up and putting me on his back. We caught up with the rest of the group and continued walking to the great hall. When we got down the stairs in front of the great hall I saw Cedric. "Draco put me down." I tapped his shoulder urgently. He sat me down and I ran over to Cedric, basically jumping in his arms. He hugged me back, picking me up off the ground. "I'm so glad you're okay." He said still holding me. "Only thanks to you! Cedric, I would have been dead without you. I love you so much and I don't think I could say thank you enough." I told him, hugging him tightly. "Be careful Kaitlyn you don't want to seem like you're being nice." He said setting me down. "Do you know you're the best brother in the world? And when I have kids you're going to be the best uncle ever! I'm just so glad I have you as a brother." I explained. "Slow down little one, you're thinking too far ahead. But truly keep on about how great I am." Cedric laughed. It felt weird to be this loving towards Cedric even though we've always had a good relationship. I just got a taste of what it would be like to lose him and well everyone, so I can never waste another moment holding a grudge or arguing with them. "Well, I have to go but do you and Emily want to meet in my dorm and us three, plus Draco could all watch a movie?" I questioned. "I'm sure Emily would like that and to see you. We'll bring the snacks." Cedric said. I gave him a quick hug before telling him "I love you and I can't wait for tonight." "I love you too sis, see you tonight." Cedric said before walking away.

I turned back towards the great hall and saw Draco waiting for me by the door. I walked over to him with a large smile. "What did you do?" he asked, looking me up and down as if for a clue. "I didn't do anything, I'm just happy to see my brother." He continued to stare at me questionably. "Well, I may have invited Cedric and Emily to my dorm to watch a movie with us tonight." I laughed it off nervously. "I knew you did something, but that sounds like a great plan. Also, I was trying to figure out who looked happier when you and Cedric saw each other." Draco laughed. "It was definitely me. Cedric gets all awkward with my affection because I never really show it but I didn't really care just now." Draco grabbed my waist when I fished speaking; turning me to walk into the great hall. "I don't know Kaitlyn, Cedric looked rather happy when he saw you. Don't forget that he thought he lost you for a second as well." Draco kissed my temple before we sat down at the table. "I bet it was nice to see Cedric." Pansy spoke. "Yeah, it was. There was something about thinking I was about to die and my brother being the one who saved me when he didn't have to. After all, it wasn't his task to save me." I smiled. "Can we just notice how often Kaitlyn is on the brink of death?!" Blaise said before Theodore added on, "I think she likes to tease the line between life and death just hoping she doesn't fall the wrong way." "I don't 'tease the line between life and death' I just have a habit of almost getting myself killed." I shoved Theo's shoulder. "I'm just glad you're with us, you really freaked me out yesterday." Pansy leaned her head against my shoulder. "I freaked myself out yesterday" I laughed before leaning my head against hers.
