Chapter 26: Divine Trial Part 3
The whole audience who were watching outside the dimension arena stared intently at the rectangular glass with their surprise expressions. Some of the gods started whispering to each other while the others tried to watch more at the rectangular glass as the battle proceeded.
"Phew!" Xin Yue blew on the muzzle of his pistol gun painted in white as he glanced at the piles of dead monkey demons on the ground. "That was fucking close." He murmured to himself as he withdrew his divinity and the pistol gun faded back into a wisp of spiritual qi that came back to his right silver bracelet.
Guan Xiushi blinked and shifted his gaze at Xin Yue, "What....... What was that?" he asked with a puzzled face.
Xin Yue lowered his gaze at him and replied with a scoff, "You don't need to know."
Guan Xiushi pouted in disappointment, "That's mean, Brother Yue."
"Whatever." Xin Yue ignored him and jumped down the branch of the tall thick tree. He wandered his eyes at the surroundings and shifted his gaze to the dead bodies of the demonic monkeys. "Someone must've lured them here. There's no nest in this forest and demonic monkeys prefer thin trees..."
Guan Xiushi also jumped down the tree and looked at the dead demonic monkeys, "But who would lure them? Maybe it's a coincidence..." He spoke as he examined their bodies. After a while of examining the bodies of the dead monkeys, Guan Xiushi noticed a bright golden talisman embedded in the fang of one of the dead demonic monkeys which had its mouth wide open. He crouched down and frowned as he picked the talisman up, "You're right, Brother Yue. Someone lured it into this place as a trap."
Xin Yue glanced at him and started to walk in his direction, "Really? Who? What did you find?"
Guan Xiushi raised the golden talisman and said, "This is a talisman that can give hallucinations to a person or an animal, and the victim can also spread it to the others around because this talisman has a wide range. This is only a simple talisman but it's quite convenient."
Xin Yue's lips twitched as he grinned and gritted his teeth, "Those shitty brat gods...."
Guan Xiushi let out a low humph, "I am a weak god but they can't fool me! My father has vast wisdom when it comes to talismans, hallucinations, weapons, armor, medicines, and poisons! And this Guan Xiushi, the Deer God also inherited Father's vast wisdom!"
Xin Yue scowled at him, "Don't act all high and mighty when you're about to piss your pants off when you saw these demonic monkeys earlier."
"B-Brother Yue!!" Guan Xiushi cried in shame.
Xin Yue rolled his eyes then turned around and started walking in a certain direction. "Let's go. Change of plans. We will work our ass off because they might be traps on other safe zones that those brat gods put."
"O-Okay..." Guan Xiushi replied and followed Xin Yue from behind.
On the other hand, outside the dimension of the arena, the gods started commenting on the outstanding young gods who were one-sidedly massacring the low to high-tier demons. Xin Chunling rested his chin on his hand as he leaned on the chair while he watched the trial with a bored expression. What was that unusual thing that exploded earlier? And the man in navy blue seemed familiar to me......but I couldn't see his face because the pearl watchers focused on the front area of the battlefield...
