Chapter 25: Divine Trial Part 2

The corners of the enormous golden hall were illuminated by golden lights, creating a divine and luxurious atmosphere. Xin Yue walked among the young gods as they made their way to the white marble arena, holding their heads high and gazing intently at the audience. Xin Yue caught a glimpse of Guan Xiushi, who was eagerly scanning the cheering crowd. "Hey, Xiushi." Xin Yue lightly jabbed his shoulder as he called.

"Mmn?" Guan Xiushi responded with his eyes raised.

Xin Yue stretched his head towards his ears and started to whisper, "Do you know what we will do in the first round? Just reveal it so we can come up with a plan!"

"I don't know." Guan Xiushi immediately answered.

Xin Yue's face soured and he took a step back with a scowl on his face, "Oh my god, you're useless."

Guan Xiushi panicked and went forward in his direction, "Why are you mad? The announcer will reveal the challenge later so don't be mad at me! We're still friends, right?"

"Whatever." Xin Yue replied with a shrug.

The youthful deities stood before the crowd, exuding confidence as they huddled together in groups. After a brief pause, a striking woman clad in a vibrant orange celestial robe stepped forward to the center of the arena and began to address the audience. "Everyone, please keep quiet as this humble one will respectfully explain the rules of the trial."

Xin Yue was enchanted by the soft and sweet voice of a woman that he heard. It was so pleasing to his ears that it felt like he had just tasted a sweet candy for the first time. However, he detected a faint divine qi on the woman's throat, which made him assume that she used a trick to make her voice sound beautiful and pleasing. Although the woman's voice was soft and sweet at first, he could hear a faint rough and low sound amid her words as she spoke. Even though the announcer had to use a voice changer, Xin Yue continued to listen intently.

"The first round of the Divine Trial will start as a group until the last round. So please choose your group wisely and remember to work with each other when needed." The woman opened a paper scroll as she took a glance at the young gods in front of her.

"The rules are simple. The participants will enter a dimension that we had put demons to eliminate. The demons you will eliminate vary for the points. Low-tier demons are ten points, Mid-tier demons are fifty points, High-tier demons are one hundred points, Martial tier demons are one thousand points and God-tier demons are ten thousand points."

"Ten thousand points!"

"We just have to defeat god-tier demons!"

"Focus on the god-tier demons! Nothing more!"

"First we will come up with a plan...."

"We need to defeat low to high-tier demons first and if they seem credible, let's move on to the higher-rank demons."

The woman announcer raised her hand to silence the young gods and continued to speak again, "Groups need to collect points and the highest points of the top two hundred will move next to the second round."

The young gods and the audience gasped in shock, "Two hundred this year?! Last year it's three hundred for the next round!"

"Oh my... My niece won't make it..."

"The difficulty seemed to have raised....."

"I wonder which group will be the top two hundred....."
