Chapter 34: Battle Arena, Part 5
The entire crowd was silent. Their eyes, filled with curiosity and excitement, were drawn to Xin Yue and Leng Baiyun. Guan Xiushi walked even faster and leaned on Xin Yue's ears. "Brother Yue, this is bad!" The two began to walk forward from each side, their respective groups following from behind.
Xin Yue frowned and turned in his direction. "What bad?"
"It's Leng Baiyun! The third son of the Sky God!" Guan Xiushi replied as he pointed in Leng Baiyun's direction.
Xin Yue frowned even more. "What the fuck are you saying? Don't be a coward right now, and remember the plan that I told you."
Guan Xiushi was about to say something, but he hesitated for a while and eventually sighed, "Fine."
Once they were on opposite sides of the stage, the maiden announcer stepped forward to the balcony and said, "We will give you thirty minutes to prepare and come up with a plan. When the bell rings, get ready and prepare for battle. Once again, I wish you luck."
Xin Yue sat on the stage with an unbothered expression that perplexed the gods. Leng Baiyun noticed their expressions and turned around to see Xin Yue, who was sitting leisurely on the floor.
"Is the Crescent Moon God this carefree?"
Xin Yue halted on the words he heard and lifted his gaze in Leng Baiyun's direction, who was looking at him with a friendly smile on his face. "Not really," Xin Yue answered.
Leng Baiyun tilted his head, still not removing the friendly smile on his face. "Really? Then do you think of me as a weak person?"
"No," Xin Yue bluntly answered with a slightly bewildered expression.
"Ohh." Leng Baiyun glanced at Guan Xiushi and redirected his gaze at Xin Yue again. "Then let's have a fair match later."
Xin Yue arched his brows and grinned back at him. "Whatever. Just don't cry on me."
Thirty minutes flashed by in the blink of an eye. As soon as the bell rang, Xin Yue and Leng Baiyun caught sight of each other and exchanged a neutral-looking smile. The high priests began to channel their spiritual energy into creating a dimension on the stage. It was a plain this time, rather than a rocky mountain.
Xin Yue glanced at the dimension and frowned. "Tsk, it's too open."
Guan Xiushi beside him also spoke, "Don't worry, Brother Yue. The huge priests weren't cheating. The pearl watchers are in charge of dimensions as well as the spectator in the rectangular glass. The places and anything that it made are random."
Xin Yue's gaze wandered around the room. Instead of a battle, it was a peaceful spot for a picnic. The grasses on the ground were lush and green, with a few bright flowers mixed in. The trees were tall but not as dense as those in a forest, and small ponds and rivers could be seen from afar, as well as the bright sky with the sun illuminating the entire area.
It's too realistic... I feel like I'm in a game or something. Xin Yue stared at his two silver bracelets and began to make something. The silver wrist gradually faded, and a large sniper rifle materialized from the silver bracelet. It was painted a pale white with a dark blue mix. The muzzle of the sniper rifle was embedded with small crescent moons, and the trigger down to the recoil pad was embedded with stars that twinkled slightly in the sunlight.
