Twenty Two

"Good morning!" Jake said as Jihyo and Yujin walked up to him, Jungwon, Jay and Heeseung.

"Good morning! Someone seems excited" Jihyo said while giving him a high five.

"I wonder what kind of activity we will do." Heeseung said.

"Whatever it is, I'm trusting our teachers. I hope they give us a fun activity." Jay said.

The teacher then went up the platform and started talking.

"The class which lost yesterday please make your way towards the kitchen. You will prepare desserts and then make the decorations for tomorrow's party." She said and the losing class walked with sighs towards the kitchen and the hall.

"Now, you students will participate in the activity we have prepared." The teacher said to the class remaining in the field and they cheered.

"The activity is a treasure hunt!" She said to which the class didn't give a response. "Where are your cheers!?" She shouted to which the class cheered awkwardly in fear.

"Since we don't have time to do a lucky draw and all that to pick partners. Just go to your partner for the presentation."

Many students groaned as they went to find their old partners. Jihyo went and stood next to Jungwon.

"So you're going to search for flags in the forest. If you find two songs, you can choose one song for the party tomorrow. There are only forty flags in that big forest. They are going to be very hard to find so-" The teacher was pulled away by the another teacher when the fire alarm went off in the kitchen. All the teachers present ran to the kitchen.

Jihyo and Jungwon walked up to Ni-ki and Jake, who seemed to be talking about something interesting.

"What are you guys talking about?" Jihyo asked as she came up behind Ni-ki.

They had been talking and discussing about something but when Jihyo came up they stopped talking.

"Why'd you stop talking? Are you preparing a surprise birthday party for me?" Jihyo asked.

"Nooo... we're talking about...uh..I was asking Ni-ki what he wants to be in the future." Jake said nervously.

Ni-ki just stared at Jake for some seconds and there was a moment of silence.

"So?.... Ni-ki what do you want to be?" Jihyo asked.

"You believed that-" Ni-ki said but was soon cut off by Jungwon.

"Sooooo Ni-ki what do you want to be in the future?" Jungwon asked.

"Uh....I want to be a dance teacher."

"Wow I'll make sure to come get a lesson someday" Jihyo said. "What about you, Jake?"

"I think I want to be a Math teacher."

"As expected."

The teacher then came back from the kitchen. "Ok. Make sure not to go too far away from the paths. The flags are all close to the different paths. Since that's clear, we will start the treasure hunt for the flags.....NOW!"

Some students started running and searching for the flags but most of them weren't as enthusiastic.

"Jihyo, what about you? What do you want to be in the future?" Jungwon asked curiously.

"I guess I want to be a..." She smiled before completing her sentence. "Shepherd." She laughed as she ran away in to the forest.

"What does she mean?" Jungwon asked as he ran to catch up to her.

"You understood what she meant by that right Ni-ki?" Jake said while smiling.

Ni-ki smiled back as they also ran in to the forest.

"Oh I found two here!" Jihyo said as she ran to a tree branch. She tried to jump up and get it but it was too high for her.

Jungwon then chuckled and got the flags for her.

"We can choose one song now! What song do you want to choose?" Jihyo asked.

"I'm not sure. You can choose the song for these flags since you found them."

"But you were the one who got them so you choose." Jihyo said as she ran and got one more flag.

"Hmmm...now that I think about it, I want one song to be played." Jungwon said walking up to the girl.

"Which song?"

"I'm in love by Colde"

"I think I've heard it...oh! Now I remember." Jihyo said as she ran and got another flag. "But why would you want to play that at a party?"

"I just...want it to be played." Jungwon smiled.

"Now that we have one more flag I can choose a song now. Hmm....what song should I choose?" Jihyo said as they walked. "Oh I know! I want Drunk-Dazed by this group called HYPENEN to be played."

"I don't think I've heard it. But isn't the title a little controversial considering we're students and we can't drink?"

"No no it's going to be so much fun when it plays." Jihyo said excitedly thinking about the party.

Jungwon laughed at her looking so excited.

The two walked in the forest searching for more flags but couldn't find any. "I guess our teacher wasn't lying when she said it'll be hard to find the flags." Jihyo said but soon spotted a flag.

It was on the branch of a tree again, but this time it wasn't as high, so Jihyo could get it by jumping.

She jumped a few times and finally got it but once she landed on the ground after jumping, she slipped a little. Jungwon caught her hand in time, preventing her from falling.

Jihyo felt a sudden rush of some unfamiliar feeling run through her body as Jungwon held her hand.

'What is happening to me?' she thought as Jungwon took helped her stand up properly.

They walked for some time until they reached the same place they were some minutes ago.

"Huh? Didn't we just cross this tree?" Jihyo turned to Jungwon.

"I think we did" He replied. "Are we lo-"

"Don't say it. If you say it out loud, it'll become true let's just walk again." Jihyo said and they started walking again.

They came back to the same place again.

"I guess we are lost." Jihyo said. "But don't be afraid! I'm sure we'll find a path soon!" Jihyo said she started walking again and Jungwon followed her.

They walked for some time but didn't find any path. They were surrounded by trees all around.

"What should we do?" She said finally giving up.

"Let's just go back." Jungwon said.

"But where exactly is 'back'?" Jihyo said as she shuddered looking at the trees all around them.

"This is the time in a horror film when the ghost comes and kills the characters." Jihyo said looking at Jungwon.

"Kang Jihyo." He said with a smirk. "You finally fell into my trap..." He said moving closer to the girl as she stared at him in confusion.

"Wait, are you the ghost who will kill me now?" She asked.

"I'm actually a..." Jungwon said coming closer to the girl. "Vampire" he whispered.
