Twenty Nine

"Yah! Why are you dozing early in the morning?!" Yujin said as she hit Jihyo's head.

"Ah!" The girl said as she sat up. "I ate dinner late so I had to sleep late"

"Then why didn't you eat dinner earlier?" Sunoo asked as he took a seat next to her.

"Actually" Jihyo chuckled "I was playing computer games and forgot that nobody else was home so I had to make my own food."

"That just screams spoilt in so many ways" Sunoo said.

"Being forgetful is not the same as being spoilt. Watch your words" Jihyo said

"But why is there no one at home?"

"Oh my sister and parents are all gone to her new college. Something about how they got a better opportunity so she can change her college. I don't know"

"Ohh"

Suddenly Jihyo's cheeks went red and she started giving a big smile to someone.

"Who the heck are you smiling at?" Sunoo asked as he looked around. Then he found Jungwon who was also smiling towards Jihyo.

Just then Jay entered the classroom.

"Come on Sunoo, we have to go to our own classroom now. Bye Jihyo, wait for us before going to the cafeteria ok?" Yujin said as she held Sunoo's hand

"Yeah sure"

The couple then ran out of the classroom.

"Yo" Jihyo said to Jay before turning in front.

"おはよう" Jay said in response

"I see you're to going to therapy in Japan?"

"I said おはよう"

"What?"

"It's good morning in Japanese idiot"

"But why are you using Japanese all of a sudden?"

"I'm teaching him!" Ni-ki said as he approached them with Jake

"Ohhh"

"By the way are you coming?" Jake asked

"Of course she's coming what kind of stupid question is that?" Jay asked

"Huh? Where?"

"Jungwon's birthday of course!!" Ni-ki said

"What???"

"He texted you to come day before yesterday."

"What? My phone is broken. I'm getting a new one day after" Jihyo said panicking. "I thought his birthday was in September!?"

Just then Jungwon waved to them. He half shouted to Jihyo, "You're coming today right?"

"What kind of stupid question is that?" Jihyo said smiling

"But-" Ni-ki got cut off by Jihyo

"Smile and wave otherwise I'm telling Jay you were the one who spilt juice on his bag" Jihyo whispered to him

"Of course I'm coming" She said to Jungwon just before the teacher came in.

"What the heck am I going to do?" She whispered to Jay

"I don't know. Not my problem." He laughed.

"Do the two of you want to leave this class?" The teacher asked.

"No no" Jihyo said quickly

"Then I expect silence from both of you"

The school day then went on as usual. Jihyo kept thinking about what present she would get for Jungwon but thought of too many things that she couldn't choose.

Just as the bell signalled the end of school, she ran out of the classroom.

Jungwon was about to approach Jihyo but she didn't notice.

"Don't worry, she's coming to your birthday party" Jay said putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Where's Jihyo" Yujin asked as she came into their classroom with Sunoo.

"She left" Jungwon said upset

"She left??! I thought we promised during lunch to go and buy her present-" Sunoo got cut off by Yujin "What are you talking about? She already prepared Jungwon's present weeks ago"

"She knew about my birthday from before?" Jungwon asked curiously

"Uhm not exactly" Sunoo smiled

"Ok we're off then" Yujin said as she ran out of the room with Sunoo.

"The party's at 6 don't be late" Jungwon said before they left.

"Then shall we go?" Jay asked.

"Yeah" Jungwon said after packing his bag.

Jihyo grimaced as she remembered that she didn't know Jungwon's shoe size. She was currently in a shoe shop, choosing a shoe for the boy.

"What should I do? What should I do??" Jihyo panicked.

"What should you do?" Jungwon asked from her side.

"Ah! You scared me"

"Sorry"

"No no it's ok"

"But what are you doing here?" Jungwon asked

"Uhhh wait what are you doing here?"

"I was picking up some egg tarts and I happened to see you from the window so I just came to say hi"

"Ohh"

"Now you tell me"

"Uh I'm just uh...buying shoes for..uh....uh.... Sunghoon!"

"Oh" Jungwon said with a sigh when he realised she was buying shoes for Sunghoon even when she was already late for his birthday party. "I'll leave you then, buy them fast"

"Wait, since you're here could you please help me pick his size"

"How am I supposed to choose his size? Why don't you just call him and ask his size"

"No no I want it to be a surprise and I think the two of you have the same shoe size also"

Jungwon sighed but then said, "My size is 265"

"Ok thanks" Jihyo said before quickly running and asking the owner for the shoe. She then ran to a flower shop and got some flowers before running back to the shoe shop to get the shoes. She also got a silver bracelet on the way.

She put the flowers and bracelet in the shoe bag before Jungwon could see them.

"Oh you're still waiting?"

"Yeah I'm going to make sure you come to my party now. You're already so late. You didn't forget about it right?"

"Nope. Come on, I'm done now"

The two of them walked right up to Jungwon's house. Just as they approached the door, Jihyo spoke up.

"Uhm Jungwon could you please wait. I need to tell you something."

"Sure" Jungwon said and turned to her.

Jihyo could feel her heart beating so fast that she thought it would come out of her chest.
