Twenty Eight

Jihyo sighed as she sat down on her seat. Jay soon came and sat down beside her.

"Why are your eyes swollen?"

"They are?!?" Jihyo asked.

"Yeah they look like macaroons."

Jihyo sighed again and put her head down on her desk. "Doesn't matter."

"You should've put frozen spoons on them before coming to school."

"What?!"

"I'm giving you such helpful advice and all you can say is what"

"No I mean, who the heck puts frozen spoons on their eyes?"

"Me. It really helps a lot when you're eyes are swollen."

Jihyo laughed imagining Jay putting spoons on his eyes.

"Yah! What are you laughing at?!"

"Nothing" Jihyo said but kept on laughing.

Jay suddenly looked around the room to see Jungwon waving at them.

"Hey someone's waving at you"

"Who?" Jihyo turned around to see Jungwon waving at her with a smile on his face.

Her heart almost stopped beating. She stared at him waving for at least thirty seconds.

"You're supposed to wave back when someone waves at you" Jay said without turning behind.

"Ohh!" Jihyo said as she waved back excitedly at Jungwon.

Class soon started but Jihyo kept smiling by herself now and then when she remembered Jungwon's smile.

She kept day dreaming about him that she didn't even realise it was already time for lunch.

"Aren't you going to eat food?" Jay said as he tapped her forehead.

"What? It's already time for lunch?"

"Then what?"

"Oh ok" Jihyo said as she kept smiling. Just as she was leaving the classroom she smiled and waved at Jungwon.

Yujin, Sunoo and Jihyo were now sitting in the cafeteria as Jihyo narrated what had happened.

"So all of a sudden he starts ignoring you and all of a sudden he stops ignoring. But you're fine with THAT??!" Yujin said as she chewed her food.

"I don't care" Jihyo smiled as she ate her food. Then she suddenly stopped eating and thought for a few seconds. "Wait, now that I think about it. It is weird. Why did he stop ignoring me all of sudden? What did I do?" Jihyo thought out loud.

"Anything happened yesterday?" Sunoo asked after Yujin had explained to him about Jungwon ignoring Jihyo over the break, but she didn't mention Jihyo liking him as the girl had told her not to.

"Hmm...I don't think so...he ignored me the whole day and so I went to that cafe and drank the mint choco drink. Then I met Sunghoon and then I went home. That's it"

"But didn't anything else happen last night? How could this- ahhh" Yujin said.

"Last night I practiced how I would say that I'm sorry for making him uncomfortable.....for liking him" she whispered the last part.

"But since he already stopped ignoring me I guess there's no use for that." Jihyo said as she started eating her food again.

Then it suddenly hit her that she called Jungwon yesterday but she never remembered ending the call.
