Twenty Seven

"What's with him?" Jay said as he followed Jungwon.

Jihyo walked to Yujin's classroom with sadness.

She waved at Yujin as she approached their door.

"Oh Jihyo!" Sunghoon said as he walked up to the girl.

"Hi" she replied.

"Are you going to the cafeteria?"

"Yeah. Why don't you people eat in the cafeteria?"

"You know us cool people, our coolness is enough, we don't need food"

"Yah! You can't just survive on snacks. Eat proper food!" Jihyo scolded him.

As the two were talking, Jungwon and Jay were coming to that classroom. Jungwon saw the two talking and immediately turned away.

"Let's go and wait for them outside, not here." Jungwon said walking back.

"What do you mean? You were the one who said we should go and get them from their classroom." Jay said but Jungwon already started walking to the garden.

"Yujin come fast! Are you done?" Jihyo asked.

"Yeah we're done now." Sunoo said as he walked to Jihyo and Sunghoon.

"I wish I could've been in your class. It would've been so much fun." Sunghoon said to Jihyo.

"Why don't you come and walk into a burning house with me? It'll be so much fun!" Jihyo said.

"Should we?" Sunghoon replied smiling.

"Maybe someday!" Jihyo laughed as she walked away with Yujin and Sunoo.

"So how's your first day going?" Yujin asked.

"Horrible."

"I thought you were happy in the morning? What happened?" Sunoo asked.

"Jungwon is still not talking to me." Jihyo frowned.

"What exactly happened?" Yujin asked.

"That's what I don't know"

Even after the first day, Jungwon kept ignoring Jihyo for the whole month. She tried approaching him many times but he always walked away or didn't respond to her.

Jihyo would keep thinking about reasons as to why he would ignore her. She would only end with more questions in her head.

These days, after school, she would always go to the cafe near her school and drink the mint choco drink that she drank when she was upset.

From the window, Sunghoon caught a glance of her clearly upset as she drank the mint choco drink.

He walked into the cafe and sat down in the seat in front of her.

"Why's there a frown on your face?" Sunghoon asked startling the girl.

"Oh Sunghoon! Uh...what are you talking about? There's no frown" Jihyo said as she made an awkward smile.

"You're even drinking the mint choco drink you drink when you're upset."

"Noooo I'm sooo happy Sunghoon, you don't know." Jihyo said in a monotone.

"This seems much better." Sunghoon said as he pulled the sides of her mouth up.

"That hurts"

"But you look better like this" Sunghoon giggled.

This time, Jungwon caught a glance of them. The scene made his heart hurt.

"I'm done. Bye now." Jihyo said as she stood up to walk away.
