Eighteen

"Happy two month anniversary Sunoo!" Yujin said running towards Sunoo during lunch.

"It seems like it was just yesterday we confessed to each other while eating ice cream." Sunoo said dramatically.

"Are you really going to keep wishing each other every month?" Jihyo asked catching up to them.

"Of course. I wouldn't want to miss anything that is related to Sunoo."

"I wouldn't want to miss anything related to you too." Sunoo said hugging the girl.

The three of them bought some snacks from the school shop and walked to the school garden which had less students.

There, they saw the rest of their friends already eating.

It had been three months since she had first met Jungwon and then Sunghoon and then the rest of the boys.

By this time, her life was all over the place. Her night blindness had gotten worse but she didn't go to the doctor because she was busy with school and the up coming exams.

"You look tired." Jungwon said running up to the girl.

"I am..just a little." She smiled at him and patted his head.

"Guys, let me tell you something. For exams, all you have to do is stay calm and study some days before." Ni-ki said.

"That's the sole reason why your grades are so low." Jay said.

"He's saying all that like his grades are any higher." Heeseung said.

"I think I'll do well. The chapters for Physics and Maths are too easy this time." Jake said.

"Ahhh I wish I could be like you." Jihyo said while laying down on the grass.

"The ground is dirty Jihyo, get up." Jay said.

"No I'm not going to." Jihyo said spreading her arms.

Jungwon then pulled her up while holding her hands.

"You're good at Chemistry right Jungwon?" Jihyo asked looking at him.

"Yeah why?"

"I've been having too much trouble with it... please help out the unfortunate." Jihyo pleaded.

"Sure" Jungwon said.

"What'd I miss?" Sunghoon siad coming to the group.

"Jihyo got a new tutor." Sunoo said.

"What?"

"Jungwon's going to help me with Chemistry. Yes!" Jihyo said while jumping up. "Now I can worry about other subjects"

"Jake could you please help me with Physics also?" Ni-ki asked to which Jake agreed.

"Oh and Jungwon, I can't stay out too late ok?" Jihyo said.

"Ok" He replied.

Sunghoon then realised that Jihyo still had night blindness. He pulled her to the side and asked her, "You still haven't gone to a doctor?"

"I've been busy."

"But you know that your health comes first right?"

"Yeah"

"I'll take you there myself then"

"Ok fine..but let's go after the exams finish please"

Sunghoon sighed and then said, "Ok but it's going to be on that day itself when the exams end."

"Sure" Jihyo replied.

Jihyo tried her best to listen to her teachers now that exams were approaching. She didn't even realise that school was already over until Sunoo flicked her forehead.

"School is already over. What are you waiting in your seat for?" He asked.

"Oh right. I forgot." She laughed. "Now I'm going to the library with Jungwon. He must be waiting." Jihyo said hurriedly packing her things.

"Jihyo! Get some sleep once you get home!" Yujin shouted as Jihyo ran out of the classroom and towards the library.

She then entered the library slowly and found Jungwon sitting in a corner.

"Hey" she said sitting down.

"So, which one do you want to start from?"

"Could you please help me with chapter 5?"

"Ok"

Jungwon then explained every detail of the chapter to her and she understood everything much better now.

"It feels a crime to understand the chapter this well." Jihyo said to which Jungwon laughed.

Jungwon helped her with all the doubts she had. Jihyo felt very thankful.

"Do you need help with anything?" She asked.

"No not really"

"Then do you want anything?"

"Oh I saw this new drink in the convenience store near school."

"Then come on! You're getting whatever you want today! Wait not really today, maybe for a good one hour."

"Ok" Jungwon said laughing.

The two walked to the convenience store and Jihyo bought the drink for him and one more of it for herself also.

They walked to the park near Jihyo's house and drank it on the swings as the sun set.

"It tastes weird." Jungwon said.

"It tastes fine for me. But I don't think I would buy it again."

"You're not really picky with food." Jungwon said.

"Yeah and you're picky right?"

"I have my likes and dislikes." Jungwon said.

"You should try and eat everything" Jihyo said patting his head.

"Smile." He said suddenly as Jihyo was patting his head.

"What?"

"Smile, I haven't done my hobby for so long please" Jungwon said.

"Okok" Jihyo said while smiling at him.

Jungwon poked her dimple and felt very happy.

"Is this our third sunset together?" He asked.

"I think so"

"It looks nice" he said.

"Want me to take a picture of you?" She asked.

"Ok" Jungwon then stood in front of her with a peace sign.

Jihyo took out her phone and took lots of pictures. A little too many.

"How many are you going to take?" Jungwon laughed. "Let me take some of you also" he said pulling her.

He then stood in front of her and took the pictures from his phone. He saved one of them as his wallpaper by mistake but left it as it is because Jihyo was rushing to go home.

Soon, they were in front of Jihyo's house. Jungwon was walking away when she shouted, "Yang Jungwon!!!"

"Yeah?" He turned back.

"Your eyes are really pretty!!!!!!!"

"I know" he tried to hold back his smile but couldn't.

Jihyo then ran into her house to find her sister coming down the stairs.

"Not again" she said as she ran up the stairs.

Her sister laughed to see the younger like this.
