Chapter Thirty-Nine

The couple finally exited the airport after a very long day of travelling, all together it was over 24 hours.

Danielle insisted on carrying all the bags and suitcases, good job she had strong fingers.

"Giovanni Ciao!" Stefania shouted and ran up to a well dressed man standing next to a Porsche.

"Stefania!" The man shouted holding out his arms hugging the brunette in tightly.

The duo spoke to each other in Italian leaving the American clueless, only picking out the odd words she knew.

"Oh my, sorry bambina" Stefania turned and pulled on Danielle's hand. "Danielle this is my cousin Giovanni, Giovanni this is my beautiful girlfriend Danielle" the Italian smiled proudly.

"Wow, she really is beautiful" he smiled with his thick Italian accent admiring the blonde.

"Hi so nice to meet you" the blonde smiled flashing her sparking white teeth. She held her hand out to shake but he pulled in for a hug instead.

"Danielle we're family now, we hug" he hugged her tightly patting her back.

They pulled away and Danielle went back to holding her girlfriends hand.

The two Italians started talking again until he handed Stefania two sets of keys. Giovanni took the bags off the blonde and loaded them into the car.

"I will see you shorty Danielle, nice to finally meet you" he smiled giving her a head nod before getting in the car behind.

"Stef who's car is this?" The blonde asked curiously.

"It's mine bambina" Stefania smiled happily, "now get in". She opened the passenger door, Danielle paused and looked at her confused.

"I can drive bambi"

"Bambina you won't drive around here, you Americans complain that our roads are too small" Stefania laughed slightly pushing Danielle into the car.

Stefania got in the driver seat and started driving. Danielle couldn't look away from the windows it was so beautiful, it was like a different world. The architecture on the buildings, even the people were different. Even though it was 8pm and dark out, everything was still lit up.

"Earth to Danielle" Stefania laughed holding onto her thigh.

"Hmm? Sorry babe what did you say?"

"I just asked if you were okay" Stefania laughed.

"Oh me? Yeah I'm great" Danielle smiled widely "So where are we going?"

"You'll see bambina, we will be there in twenty minutes"

They continued driving, Stefania briefly explaining things they drove past. The ocean came into view, you could already see how clear the water was from a mile away.

Stefania pulled up to a very large house, pressed button that opened the garage, she pulled in and parked.

"This house is gorgeous! Who's is it?" Danielle asked, her mouth wide open as she admired the house.

"It's mine" Stefania smiled happily.

"This is yours?" The blonde gasped "How come I never knew about this?"

The duo got out the car and Danielle made her way around to the brunette kissing her up against the car.

"Giovanni and his wife stay here during the summer, they live up north but they came down to see us"

"So where are they staying now?"

"With my aunt, his parents but come, I'll give you the tour" Stefania smiled widely pulling the blonde through the house.
