Chapter Seventeen

"I love you Danielle, I am in love with you. I know we have only been dating for three months but I am so incredibly in love with you. I have been since I first laid eyes on you in the bar so no I'm not leaving"

There was silence, Danielle didn't say anything. Stefania eyes were about to burst with tears. Did she just fuck everything up, was it too soon to tell her she loved her. Stefania started to shake with Danielle still in her arms. She's ruined it, she's ruined everything.

"Please say something Danielle" the brunette whispered nervously before looking up at the ceiling, still trying to keep her tears at bay.

Danielle slowly moved her head so she was looking at the brunette, her hand reached up to Stefania cheek, rubbing it gently. A smile crept on her face, "Stefania look at me, look at me Bambi" she said reassuringly.

The brunette's brown eyes calmly made contact with the blondes blue eyes. "Don't cry Stefania", Danielle softly brushed away the few tears with her thumb.

"I - I love you too Stefania" she sighed with relief "I have felt it for such a long time, every second I'm not with you I feel sick to my stomach because you are the only person I want to be around, to spend the rest of my life with"

"I'm glad that was your answer" the brunette whispered "now bacami".

They started kissing, their lips moving slowly, the amount of love behind each movement. This wasn't about lust or sexual hunger, it was about being present with the person they both admired the most. Each other. "I didn't plan on telling you in your bathroom, on the floor crying but I'm glad I did" Stefania laughed nervously. "I had a big romantic gesture planned out".

"Yeah I'm sorry, I kinda ruined it didn't I" Danielle apologised.

"You didn't ruin anything bambina, now come. Our food should be here soon" Stefania kissed her head a final time before pulling herself and her girlfriend up off the floor.

"But wait.... I can't go down there looking like this. My eyes are puffy and I'm puffy. I'm a mess"

"You look absolutely beautiful Danielle, don't let anyone tell you otherwise okay. Now come" the brunette held the blondes hand leading her out of the bedroom to the stairs. Giving her one last kiss before walking down them.

The doorbell went off. "Just in time" she smiled "I'll get it" Stefania shouted before taking the pizza off the delivery man.

The couple made their way into the living area, smiles plastered on their faces, Jaina looking guilty in the corner, avoiding eye contact with Danielle. "Why are you pair so smiley?" Barrett asked amused.

"Oh nothing, I just love my girlfriend" Danielle blushed.

"Oh love huh?" Barrett teased.

"Yes. Totally and completely in love with the blonde beauty" Stefania leaned in kissing her girlfriends lips.

"Oh Barrett, are you coming to Vegas with us?" Danielle asked.

"Oh I would have loved to but I have to work, it's getting busy these days" she laughed sadly. "Vegas does sound amazing though".

"Can you not book it off? It is Vegas after all, plus, we need to find you a lover. I can imagine it gets awkward fifth wheeling us four" Jaina chirped up.

"I'll see what I can do, I would love to come though" she smiles before biting her pizza slice.

They all continue to eat their pizza peacefully. Jaina glancing back and forth Danielle and Stefania awkwardly.
"Who wants a beer?" Danielle asked before excusing herself. She could sense Jaina looking at her, it made her feel uncomfortable. "Danielle?" A voice appeared behind the blonde. "Jaina" the blonde answered.
"I didn't mean anything by what I said, I was joking and I guess it got interpreted wrong" she apologised. "Basically sorry for making you feel upset".
