Year 854 - 4 Years Since the retake of Shiganshina.

"Y/N?"
Falco squatted down to the woman, poking her cheek. She stirred, lifting her eyes open.
"Hm?"
"Are you tired?"
"Very," she complained, looking out at the vast sea, "sunsets make me sleepy."

After the warriors returned from the war unharmed, Y/N was more than happy to be with them again. She was aware that the end of the war could mean bad things for her but seeing the children alive meant more.
"Do you think titans will lose their usefulness?" Udo asked her, pacing the boardwalk, "I mean, what will even happen to us if that comes true?"
"I'm not sure. You have bombs and planes. Can't be too hard to make those work together."
Jamie slapped her arm, "not helping."

"All those Mid-Easterns that survived will be sent home and then they'll spread the news about how horrible Eldians are! It'll only get worse for us!"
"Udo, calm down," she said, "no reason to speculate and get upset."
"She's right."
They all gasped, turning to see Reiner as fresh as a daisy.
"Reiner!" Gabi cheered, running to greet her family member, "You're okay?!"

Y/N continued to stay seated despite the excitement. She still didn't know what to make of her feelings for Reiner.
"What about you guys?"
"Yes, we're fine!"
"Y/N, Jamie? Everything alright with you two?"
She nodded, "Same boring view."
"They said we can go back to Liberio! Let's walk until then," Gabi pulled him along, her joy abundant.

"Y/N," Jamie helped her stand, "are you awake enough to come to with?"
"I should be," she sighed, "although convincing Klein and Magath to even let me go was rather exhausting."
"We get the best seat on the train," he boasted, following after the warriors, "being your friend is way better than being an honorary Marleyan!"
She chuckled, looping their arms together.
"Let's get going before the moon rises."

Y/N slept the entire ride there, but when she exited, she was reminded of home. The sky was a dull grey, but the thick clouds painted its surface like the expansive planes there. The steam of the train rose like a titan's, only serving as a further reminder of a tainted battlefield.
"Let's hurry!"
Jamie ran off ahead of her, making her try and push through the crowds. It was a first that no one noticed her presence, for their happiness of reunion made them blind to it.
"Jamie! My son!"
She watched him run into the arms of his mother who was dressed more grandiosely than the others. It was surely because of her son's position since rewards for servicing Marley were a popular ideal. Y/N heard she'd come at least an hour from the higher class parts of town just to be here at the gate.
