|09| Feels So Right, But It's So Wrong..

[ a lot of cursing in this chapter :} ]

June 27, 2012; 6:00 p.m.

"I thought you promised you wouldn't cheat again!" Evan yelled at a hysterical Emma.

"I did promise, Evan! I love you, baby!" Emma sobbed. Amaya and I were awkwardly sitting on the bed, watching this whole ordeal. I should have just kept my mouth shut. But I'm glad I didn't.

"I don't know about that, Emma!"

"Why don't you believe me?!"

"You slept with someone else! Again!" Again, again. Emma was a shitty girlfriend. Why has Evan stayed so long? Is it because she's rich?

"It was the spur of the moment decision, baby! I've felt so alone lately!"

"You've felt alone? We haven't had sex in months! You keep denying me! Have you been having sex with other people?"

"No, Evan! I haven't been sleeping with anyone else, I promise!"

"So, if I check your phone right now there won't be any.. promiscuous messages?"

"No! Evan, I love you so so much!" Evan grabbed Emma's phone, and started going through it.

"If there are any messages that tell me you've been cheating, we are done. For good, this time." Emma's face turned pale. Oh, great. Emma tried to grab her phone out of Evan's hand, but he was too quick. After a few minutes, Evan's face turned a light shade of green.

"You've been screwing Andrew!?" Evan screamed in anger, dropping Emma's phone on the ground. Emma started to shake.

"Who's Andrew?" Amaya asked, her eyes bright with curiosity. I slapped her lightly on the arm. It was none of her business. But I also wanted to know.

"My fucking brother," My jaw dropped, but I quickly closed my mouth. Oh my god. Emma has been screwing Evans brother? "Get out, Emma. Go sleep in another room."

"Evan, please! I'm sorry!" Emma pleaded.

"How long, Emma?"

"What?"

"How fucking long?"

"A year." Emma whispered. Tears started pooling in Evans eyes, and he balled his fists.

"Whoa, whoa. Okay," Amaya interrupted, jumping up from the bed. "Taissa, toss me your credit card. I'll go help Emma rent another room." I looked at Amaya. I gave her the are-you-freaking-kidding-me look, but tossed her my parents credit card anyways. Amaya helped walk the sobbing Emma out of the room, and flashed me an eye roll before she left.

Once they were gone, Evan started crying.

"Why am I so stupid? She's done this before, but.. with my own brother?" I patted the spot next to me, and he came and sat down.

"It'll be okay, Evan." I said, trying to console him. I've never done this before. Like I've said time and time again, I've never really had any friends. "It'll all work itself out, you'll be okay."

"Thanks, Tai." he whispered, sniffling. We sat there in silence for a minute or so, before something crazy happened. He leaned in, and pressed his lips against mine. It felt.. well, almost indescribable. My whole body felt numb, except my lips. My lips, pressed against his, felt like two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly. Then, I pulled away.
