Chapter 44:What are you?

walking through the busy all full of students were not ideal. Everyone seemed to be watching his everyone move as if he was an alien. Being a small town he knew new students were not a normal thing but the staring were starting to get on his nerves. 

"your the new student Henrik right" A boy skipped up to him wearing a wide smile along with a girl. She was quick to take a picture of him.

"perfect for the newspaper" She looked up at him nervously "I'm Angela and this" she motioned to her friend who eyed him somewhat happy but slightly annoyed "this is Mike"

"Yeah I'm Henrik -"

"what's your deal with Bella" Mike cut him off eyeing him with a bit of jealously. It was clear he had a crush on the quiet girl he now lived with. Honestly he saw no appeal, she was awkward and quiet. It was also clear she already had a boyfriend and there was no way this Mike guy didn't know this  

"A family friend who's visiting for the time being" That was the story he was sticking with. wont really a lie if he thought a bout it but none of that mattered. The anger in his eyes now were his only concern. He didn't want to fight a guy who had no future with Bella. It would be a tedious affair

"Your living with her!" It was as if Mike had ignored everything he had just said simply hearing what he wanted to hear. It was both annoying and amusing to him. He knew keeping his head down was out of the question considering Bella's interest now meaning the vampire family may approach him sooner or later but now this. 

"Shouldn't her boyfriend be the one upset, not some wannabe boyfriend" He saw the punch clearly and moved out of the way. By now they had a crowd watching this spectacle including the vampires and Bella. "Oh come on, all this over a girl your not even dating. If anything I would think you would be swinging at her boyfriend. You know the one who actually has her"

Henrik smiled innocently as he dodged yet another punch from the enraged kid. He couldn't fight that much was obvious and his anger was clearly displaced. Getting bored He moved swiftly on his next punch. Using his momentum he side stepped him, grabbing his arm and pulled making him loose his footing and hit the ground. "I don't have time with this." glancing towards the vampire family Henrik looked straight at Bella "control your boy toys before I out him in the ground" It was a clear threat one that he would follow up with. Consequences be dammed.

turning on his heel he walked back out of the school. There was no way he was staying behind after that. He didn't even want to go to school in the first place and would rather have stayed at home. He was filthy rich and saw no reason to continue his education.

"wait!" Bella came running out of the school followed by the vampire family.  Stopping in front of him he glared not at all caring how Edward stepped between them. Protectively shielding Bella from his rage

"Trust me when I say this vamp, you cant beat me and neither can your family. "His warning made him uneasy, all of them looking at him wearily.

"What are you." The small pixie like girl stepped forward along with who he guessed was her mate. 

Henrik never really cared to hide what he was but just this once he was amused. He has seen cold ones before even befriending them but there was always one thing he kept secret from them and it was how easy he could kill them. Being a Mickelson rendered there gifts useless against him.  Not many knew this but he was sure their leaders knew of this. Knew how dangerous it was to anger anyone in his family. A war they knew they could not win.

"What I am?" Henrik glanced her way briefly before turning back to Bella "I'm a warlock, and from your expressions, none of you have met my kind or if you have never knew" Smiling he waved his handmaking Bella float an inch off the ground before putting her back down. The shock in her eyes as she grabbed onto Edward was worth it. 

"does my father know?" Bella held fear in her eyes for once. Scared of the unknown much like others tend to be. 

"no, I'm just they guy who saved his life. I'm not staying long Bella so don't worry but if he ever ask like you all have I will tell him. Your laws don't extend to my kind whatso ever. " turning he walked away without another word. They now knew what he was and that's all they needed to know. Maybe know they will leave him alone. Would be a shame if he had to kill the family for making a wrong move. Time will only tell

I have read comments and see recommendations on mates. I will do a toll on a later date to figure out but keep in mind his not the same little Henrik from the start of the book. He has grown and is not the same soft hearted boy he use to be. keep dropping names on who he should be with or if he should be alone.
