Chapter 49:Date night

"I don't understand why I'm doing this" Henrik sat on the floor as Hope brushed his hair, humming a song she learned at school the day prior. She seemed happier about this date than he himself did. Dating a cold one much less two was not on his list to do. As he never acted before this was a whole new experience for him. One he could live without 

"All you do is complain" Hope tugged on one of his locks smiling when he wince from the pain. "Live a little uncle hen, they seem nice enough "

"What exactly are we even going to do?"

"So glad you asked" Alice skipped in followed by Jasper and a smiling Charlie. 

"I'll watch Hope tonight, you go have fun" Charlie shooed him and the couple out of the room. Already chatting happily with Hope about movies they can watch all the while Henrik was a nervous wreck. His people skills sucked, If he wont snapping at you or plotting something behind a fake smile he was lost. He was only ever genuine with Hope and sometimes Charlie. 

"So" Henrik glanced between the couple for him nervously tugging on his fingers as they both watched him, amusement in their eyes.

"We are going to the fair that just came into town, you're going to love it" Alice beamed grabbing his arm to lead him to the car. Jasper was quiet walking on his other side yet he would catch him glancing his way every view seconds. 

The ride was long yet entertaining. Alice spoke enough for everyone in the car, rambling from topic to topic without taking a breath. Yet a smile stayed on Jasper's face, it was clear he enjoyed it.Enjoyed how she could talk enough for the both of them and Henrik himself  couldn't help but smile himself. They were perfect for one another yet both seemed interested in him. A witch they barely know anything about. It raised questions yet he voiced none of them. Opting to just for once enjoy himself without worrying. 

Pulling up to the fair he noted the rides and stands selling anything and everything. He had never been to a fair before and was honestly happy about trying new things. He was the first one out of the care much too the couple's amusement.

"Knew you would be happy"Alice held a knowing look as well as a small smile as she watched him. Wrapped in Jasper's arms they knew they made the right decision with bringing him here. 

"Will you guys be ok, there's a lot of people here" Knowing the smell would most b likely be overwhelming he turned back to the couple, blushing slightly as he realized how close the pair was. One wrong mover and he would be practically kissing Alice while she stood in her mates embrace.

"I have good control and Jasper will be fine with me near, even more so with you here" Sending him a wink Alice grabbed jasper's hand before taking Henrik's hand in her other palm. Pretending not to notice the blush and questioning glance she pulled them both to the ticket booth where she scanned her phone holding their tickets

Alice took the lead, yanking the pair to every stall and ride in sight. Henrik despite his nerves smiled watching as Alice was picking through jewlery. She was picky that much he could tell but it was adorable how she needed to pick out the right one. "How are you like the date so far" Jasper stood beside him Ike a silent protector. He had noticed how his eyes was always glancing between the pair when near but always focused on the one that had strayed away from the group. He was observant, often having to pull him along when something had caught his attention.

"It's was nice, I enjoyed the ship ride, it went so high up"Smiling wide Henrik continued to ramble on about the different rides completely missing the way Jasper smiled his way or how Alice watched on with a soft expression happy Henrik was finally opening up a bit and relaxing. Pocketing her gift for her two mates she rejoined them silently just wanting to listen to him ramble much how she did earlier. For once they were content, having their last mate near. Their missing piece
