Henrik and Hope had just settled in the living when Bella came charging in. Yelling at Edward to stay away. Charlie was on his feet in a second instantly trying to figure out what was wrong but it was clear to the two Mikaelsons. This was all fake.
"Can you just tell me what's wrong" Charlie by now was pleading with her to talk to him. desperate to know how to make this all better.
"I just have to get away. I cant be stuck here like mom was. Like you are in this sad town doing the same thing everyday." Watching how Charlie's face had fallen rubbed him the wrong way. The disrespect she showed to her own father was crazy. Getting up he followed her out the door letting Hope hug Charlie.
"Have you lost your damn mind" He snapped snatching her bag back, forcing her to have to stop and look at him. he saw the fear in her eyes.
"I have to get away to protect him from the nomad's"
It didn't matter to him how she was trying to justify her actions. There were so many other ways she could have delt with this. "Why not sneak out?" He questioned taking a step forward. "Why not say your having a sleep over with the girls in the Cullen family" Taking another step he watched how her eyes widen and guilt start to leak in "You hurt your own father, disrespected him in his own home and threw his fears at his face."
Shaking his head Henrik threw her bag down at her feet. "I hope it was all worth it, being a shitty daughter and all"
"that's enough" Edward walked across the street eyes blazing with fury. His family stood behind him but it was clear they didn't like how Bella went about it either. "She did what she had to d-"
almost instantly did Edward fall to the ground unmoving. Henrik eyed him in distaste using his magic to hold him in place. "Do not take your immortality for granted. Coming at me will only lead to an early and definite death"
"Henrik-"
"your the coven leader are you not" glancing towards the older vampire he glared at him as well. "if I didn't know any better i would say Edward was in charge. He broke the laws letting bella know what you all are not only that she is his blood singer. your playing a dangerous game. Put your child in his place before I do it." Finally he let Edward up who instantly ran to his families side. "trust me, if I have to deal with him he wont be returning in one piece"
It was a clear threat one that he hoped stuck. Much like Elijah he didn't like going back on deals and this was one he was willing to keep. Killing Edward wouldn't bother him in the slightest. One lest entitled brat sniffing around would do wonders to his mental health.
Turning on his heel he walked back inside smiling as he saw Charlie and Hope fast asleep on the couch. Picking up Hope he took her to bed before returning with a blanket for Charlie. Once he was covered he got into bed. He was not getting into the drama surrounding the Cullen family no matter what. He didn't care for Bella, only Charlie and was sure she knew that fact now. Honestly he hoped their coven leader opened his eyes soon or they would be doomed to be killed off. sooner or later
