THE ACCIDENT
“Who’s that? Lucas asked.
I didn’t answer him and called kuya david.
“Hello sam, ate tin to nagdridrive and kuya david mo naaksidente si Arthur.”
“Ok I’ll be there” then I hang up the phone and commanded Lucas to drive to the hospital and I told him that Arthur had a vehicular accident.
Oh God, please, please help Arthur. This can’t be happening. Hindi kop o talaga mapapatawad ang sarili ko pag may nangyaring masama sa kanya. All he wanted to do is to meke me happy. And Lord, if my happiness will cause a good friends life? I’d rather be miserable forever.
When we arrived at the hospital andun na si kuya david at ate tin. Si ate althea naman umuwi to tell mommy pinky what happened and to contact kuya Arthurs Family na rin. While waiting may biglang dumating na police and inexplain samin yung nangyari. Mabilis daw ang takbo ng sasakyan ni Art. Then may dumaan na motorcycle so umiwas siya hindi niya na nacontroll ang manibela at dumangga sa pader. After naman na maexplain samin ng pulis dumating naring ang sister niya and she said
“How was he?” panting
“He’s still unconscious and he’s still on the emergency room.” David Answered.
Nasa Canada pala ang parents nila Art. So siya at ang sister niya lang and their uncles and auntie’s lang ang magkakasama. Masyado na daw matanda ang mga relatives nila kaya di na sila pinasama ng sister ni Art. After an hour lumabas na yung doctor.
“Are you the family of the patient?”
“Yes, I’m her sister.”
“Ah, well everything was stable now. He’s still uncounsious dahil sa mga gamut na binigay naming sa kanya but probably after 3 hrs. magigising narin siya. Fractured rin pala ang both hands niya so it’s better for him to have a complete bed rest for 1 month. Para sa mas immediate na pagheal ng mga sugat at fractures niya.
I am so thankful na hindi ganun kalala ang nangyari kay Arthur. Sa oras na nagkakilala kami sobrang bait niyang tao para magkaganyan. And buti nalang after some hours na gising narin siya and he is calling my name, kaya lumapit ako.
“Yes I’m here.”
“Hi princess, sorry ah you’re coffee spiled eh.”
“Ano ka ba? Ikaw na nga ang nasa ganyang sitwasyon nagsosorry ka pa. how are you feeling?”
“I’m ok na, pwede na nga ulit kitang bilan ng coffee eh.”
“Shut up! Don’t be too pasaway ah, kawawa naman ang ate mo. You need a complete bed rest for 1 month. Okay?”
“1 month? Not okay at all! We only have 1 month left to finish everything for the big event.”
“yes I know but we can handle it na Art.”
“No! please naman sam. Let me do this. Remember what I told you last night?”
“But Art… you can’t”
“Yes I can. Common this can’t be happening!”
“I am so sorry Art.” Nearly crying
Art starts “ I did everything that I could on those music, it’s really special for me sam. So please find me a MD who is better than me.”
“I will Art, I promise.” He hugged me.
Hindi ko alam kung paano siya icocomfort, kasi yung pakiramdam na nawalan na ng direction yung Buhay mo, pati pangarap mo di mo na alam kung paano mo aabutin. Naramdaman ko na yun e. and to tell you hindi siya madali. And what he told me last night naaalala niya ibig sabihin ba nito he mean it? Pero how can I open myself to anyone kung ang totoo nakakulong parin ako sa nakaraang dapat matagal ko nang kinalumutan. How can this be happening? Ako rin, naaalala ko pa ang mga pangyayari last night. And that Lucas! He always leaves me hanging. Bakit niya kaya ako hinalikan? Grrrr. Kahit kalian talaga Lucas Soriano Paasa kaaaa!!!!!!!!!!
