Homecoming

So it’s a 1 hour drive from New York to Jersey haaay. Siguro nga beng a fan girl really runs in my blood na hindi ko na mapipigilan. This is an achievement for me, being able to be the concert director of my idols? I wanna die. Can I die? Hahaha. Grabe! So on my way there I realized na teka lang I almost forgot directing them means going back to the Philippines and going to the Philippines with them means seeing Lucas again. I remember the last time I saw him. it was 2 hours before my flight. Pinuntahan ko yung presscon niya. I wanted to say goodbye and here just few words from them and you know what I did hear him say something and the last thing I heard from him is that “Yes, (you saw me at the corner. We looked in each others eyes) I like her. I like her very much.” Then again you looked away and turned your eyes on your leading lady. Kung sabagay the both of you look good together. Pero siguro naman ngayon na limang taon na ang nakalipas wala na yun. We both have our separate lives now. The only common denominator that we have is you happen to be my idols future brother in law and that’s it. I can manage this. Be professional Samiantha. You’re on your way to one of your biggest dream diba? To be able to work and be a part of your idols life. Stay focus Sam. Go break a leg!

After arranging my schedules finishing contrats in New York this is it. My flight back to my homeland.  While starering at the plane’s window naalala ko yung mga sinabi sakin ni Sig bago ako umalis

 “Samiantha Elijah Soriano, girl you know naman how happy I am for you diba? Ako ang pinakamasayang bakla para sa bestfriend ko ngayon dahil finally madidirect mo na yang mga kaAtehan mo sa Buhay. But remember to stick to reality while you’re there okay? Oh sige sino ka na nga ulit ngayon? Ngayon ah!”

“ I am Samiantha Elijah Soriano, Director of the dream concert.”

“Who are your idols?”

“Cristina and Althea Gonzales”

“Who’s their Cristina’s Boyfriend?”

“Engeneer David Santa Maria”

“Then who is his Brother?”

“Who are yun bakla, 3 sila diba?”

“Hi commonsense naman sungs!”

“Okay okay fine! Lucas Santa Maria”

“and who is Lucas Santa Maria in your life?”

“He’s just a friend”

“Ayyyyy!!!! Nakakaloka ka! MALI! MALI! MALI!”

“Then what?”

“Your idols are your sisters kamo diba?”

“Yes!”

“Then Lucas is your sisters future brother in law, kaya you are not friends, you can’t be more than friends, because he have a special friend already named Stephanie and he will be your BAYAW for Gods sake Samiantha. Keep that in mind! Okay?”

“Of course. (I paused for a while) I will.”

“Don’t allow anyone to hurt you there sam, I can’t be with you pa naman. I can’t afford to see you hurtin’ again. I love you girl!”

After a long hour finally I am home. I remember a song in my childhood na lagging kinakanta ng grandmother ko sakin kapag umuulan para mapatulog ako. Yung rain rain go away. But this time it’s different, I made a modernized version of it and the song goes a little bit like this “Pain, pain go away don’t be back in any days, Little Sam wants to stay.” Pagkatapak ng paa ko sa airport. Naalala ko yung mga pangarap ko dati yung prinsipyo ko dati na I want to serve my country, gusto ko magtrabaho sa isang malaking kumpanya para mas marami akong matulungan na kababayan ko. But In just one snap nawala ng lahat ng un kasi kinailangan kong umalis. I need a breather, I need to be whole again so that I can give all of me in inspiring others. Sana sapat na ang limang taon para buoin ang sarili ko. Kasi sa totoo lang I am here to stay, please don’t give me reasons not to. I beg you.
