Cairo's POV

"Oh Koda." I say as I stroke my service dogs head. "I don't know if I'm ready for this."

Koda yips at me then she licks my hand.

"Thanks Koda." I say.

"Ready for your final game Cairo?" Emma Harris says.

Today is November 14th, 2028 and today will be my final game as national team manager.

We're playing Costa Rica in San Diego.

After I'm done, Ali Krieger will be taking over as National Team Manager.

"I hope so." I say as the bus pulls up to the stadium.

After the bus stops, Koda and I follow everyone out to the bus then we get on the bus.

Once on the bus, I hang up my suit in the row before Koda and i's row then I sit down next to Koda in our row.

A few minutes later the players get on the bus then we head to Jónsdóttir Stadium here in San Diego.

I didn't know what to name the stadium that San Diego United plays in so I named it Jónsdóttir Stadium.

On the way to the stadium I look down at my line-up notes to make sure everything is correct.

1-Emma Harris(C)
11-Emily Fox
2-Jasmine Spencer
12-Tierna Davidson
3-Nyala Mbabu
18-Andi Sullivan
16-Taylor Kornieck
13-Catarina Macario
15-Ashley Sanchez
14-Audrey Solo
9-Trinity Rodman

After I'm sure everything is correct, I put my notes up then relax for the rest of the drive.

Eventually we get to the stadium so I gather my things as we pull into the parking area.

Once the bus stops, I grab my suit then Koda and I get off the bus and head to the locker room

When we get to the locker room, Koda and I head to the managers office then I put my stuff down before we head outside to check the pitch

After a few minutes of checking out the pitch, all of us head back to the locker room.

Once in the locker room, I head to the managers office then I change out of my tracksuit and into my red suit while the team warms up.

"How do I look Koda?" I ask as I finish tying my tie.

Koda yips then she smiles at me so I toss her a treat then I put on my shoes

Once I'm fully dressed, I give myself a once over in a mirror then I put my phone and wallet in my pockets before Koda and I walk back into the locker room.

"Alright ladies..." I say then I go over some last minute things for the final time as a manager.

I already did a farewell speech last night at a dinner that was attended by all of the players who played under me for the national team and even a few of my old Lyon players.

I knew I'd get emotional during my speech so I did it last night so I could be clear minded for todays game.

After I've gone over everything, Koda and I leave the locker room and head out to pitch

Once on the pitch, I wave at my family then Koda and I head to the bench.

When Koda and I get to the bench, I sit down in the second seat closest to the tunnel while Koda sits at my feet.

A minute after we're sat down with the other coaches, the players come out of the tunnel then the anthems play.

I wanted my ceremony thing to take place after the game.
