2pm, mum will be out working at the local news agency and I will be home alone, well at least she thought so. I couldn't help but be excited at the thought of seeing Dylan again. I found new energy and baked double choc chip cookies, mopped the tiles and vacuumed the caramel carpet in my room.
I planned on taking Dylan on picnic. 2pm decided to take its time, after cleaning I felt exhausted, I slipped into new pair of shorts and a black tank top, sat on the couch scrolling through Instagram, anything to distract me from the clock.
Time passed slowly and I got sick of my phone, mum was already at work so I decided to swing Dylan a text saying to come over now. I waited, waited and waited. It felt like forever but the clock said otherwise, apparently 10 minutes until I heard Dylan's jeep stop outside. Finally, a relief rushed through my aching body as I saw him walk up to the door.
"Dylan!" I yelled across the house, I still had memories from the other day swimming in my head, but I did my best to push them to the back of my mind, I ran over and jumped into his arms. He desperately found my lips, gosh I missed him.
His cologne stronger than usual made me pull him closer, wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back. I felt energised, I felt good, it was almost like he recharged me, gave me new energise to feed on.He slowly put me down, "I'm so glad to see you, you never left my mind, missed you like crazy Lexi, I never want to be apart for that long again, without you I'm incomplete."
We exchanged smiles as we clumsily bumped mouths, I lent back and replied, "I missed you more."I took him to the kitchen and told him what I had planned. "Picnic? In the forestry?" he asked, "why not at a park or something."
"Because, I have always wanted to explore the tracks and now that you're here, we can go it together, ok?" I shot a cheeky smile.
"Ok, you make me wonder. I bet you're trying to get back at me for taking you bush, aren't you?" I remember what I had put her through, she hadn't talked to me for almost a week and suddenly she's all sweet about everything?
I laughed, "nah of course not Dyl, I just want to get out, explore, have fun," I scanned the kitchen, "I don't know, be normal for as long as I can, I guess" I shrugged my shoulders as I headed towards the back door, obviously with Dylan following me we made our way towards the forestry.
I gestured towards an opening, "that's where I want to go first Dyl."
I shivered as he placed his hand on the small of my back, "take me anywhere, I'll follow."
