I stood in the centre of the ring of danger.
Death.

I couldn't fight, I was too weak and vulnerable without anyone else. Without her. Unsure of who to watch, I remained still, it didn't matter what direction I looked, they surrounded me so I would have my back to at least two of them. The pack leader, Luke however stood out, he watched my every move, his hairy figure taking in every little detail about me. How did they even find us in the first place?

"What do you want with Elexis?!" Anger boiling in my blood. I turned on my heel only too face the leader of the pack again. He's using his powers! Moving at the speed of lightening, so quiet and swift you couldn't even see his shadow. His back arched, his body supported by the two paws planted firmly on the ground he spoke.
More like screamed...

"WHERE IS SHE?!" He bellowed, causing the leaves to stir around me. My hair flapped around and fought the wind, his voice forced me to step back, the power that he held within terrified me beyond belief. I stepped forward in effort to keep my status as high as possible. Nerves got the better of me as he took a step closer to me, I swear I felt the ground shake beneath me.

"What do you want with her?" I spat at him as confident as I could, until my voice cracked and trailed off, God damn it Dylan.

His eyes glowed an unnatural yellow, he stared me down and looked me right into the eye as if searching my mind. Wait! He is! I tried my best to block him and by everything my gaze away from his I hoped it prevented him from reading my thoughts. I knew Elexis wouldn't hold back for much longer, I need them to leave before she exposes her self to them.

Four against one?! That's a little unfair if you ask me. I mean like, they should at least let me warm up. Let my senses do their thang in their good own time, but nooo, they just barge in when they feel like it.

Get you're head together Dylan. Pfft, it's not like they will leave if politely ask... "Could you please leave?" I squeaked.
Oh my god, did I really just do that? ...
