I lakes over to the passengers side, using long strides to make it there before Elexis. I opened the door, almost knocking her off feet... Oops. I cleared my throat, "um, there's someone I want you too meet, so I'll take you there first and trust me, it's not far from my house, ok?" No literally, not far at all, I'm talking a walk away.

I headed back to the drivers side trying to hide the worry I held within me. I clutched the handle and heard the other door slam. Damn she was cute when she's angry. Like a little puppy trying to bite your ankles. The roads were lonely, we only passed the occasional car every now and then, but other than that, no action. The air seemed to thickened as we drove closer to our destination. The vault.

I was actually excited to introduce her to Cameron, he was a cool guy after all and I was sure they would get along... I think, no wait... I hope. He was pretty much my best friend. I sensed her nervousness and gently placed my hand over here that sat on her thigh in an attempt to reassure that everything was going to be ok. Her hand was freezing! And I knew why, her temper was up and blood pressure sky high.

She needed to calm down before we reached the vault. While we were driving I thought about how she would react in meeting another of our kind, I hope she would understand and work with me, I had a lot of explaining to do... and I can imagine, a lot of teaching as well. I hope she doesn't freak out when I tell her she's an animal, a wolf. I turned into my driveway and continued driving past our house, it was quite a long way, around 100m I think.

"I thought you said you were taking me somewhere else?" Elexis asked as I stopped the jeep. "I am, I said it's not too far from my house remember? It literally isn't, in fact if you look closely," I pointed to an opening in the bush behind my house, "it's a bit of a walk but nothing you can't handle," I continued, "I'm going to introduce you to my mate, Cameron. He's he's super cool, I think you guys will get along. He will explain a lot of things and soon everything will make sense, you just have to promise me something, ok?" I stopped and looked at her, I was serious,

"Lexi you have to try calm down, remember to take deep breathes that'll relax you you... and you can't freak out and call me crazy ok?" Im pretty sure I just scared her even more, great job Dylan you're a great support.

In my surprise she replies, "Dylan you are crazy, that's why I like you," she gave me a small smile. That's what I like to see, confidence. Something I'm lacking as well. My phone vibrated, I pulled it out of my back pocket, new message - Cameron: are you coming or am I going to explain the the definition of wolfling to myself?
