God damn it! He saw me. My heart seem to jump as I attempted to slow my breathing. He definitely saw me, why am I so scared of him? He's after my girl and I had one job, ONE JOB - protect Elexis, protect her powers, she's our leader now. I felt guilty about not telling her, although I did throw a few hints around - A lot - training her as soon as possible, telling her they wanted her only... Oh well, but she will figure it out soon enough, she should know already, about everything... Not just her natural advantages but, but to the extreme.
No time to debate with myself on how I am going to do that now, first I must get them out of here, safely. My heart raced within my trembling body and kicked into over drive as I heard Lukes voice boom around the corner.
"Come here mut! You know I saw you!" I shuffled along, leaning my back against the wall, I headed towards the stair way. The sound of claws ripping through metal alarmed me of his presence, I turned around to face a growling wolf. His eyes glowed yellow in anticipation, he let out another growl leaving the hairs on my neck standing...
Show no fear, Dylan, Elexis needs you!
I continued to chant in my head as a plan developed in my head. A smirk snapped his scowl and my heart sped up to twice the normal. "Stay away from us, Luke!" I shuffled my right heel backwards guiding myself to advance a stair. I back up again this time transforming into a beast. I flexed my neck, to the right, now to the left.
New power pumped through my veins, my eyes remained locked on his, I lifted my right hand twinkling my fingers. He fought his temptation to evert his gaze until finally he looked at my small distraction, I took this this chance to thrust my foot into his chest. He fell backwards while clawing at my leg, the sudden impact caused me too fall backwards. I questioned whether that was a good choice... Negative, he's getting up!
"Come here you fuckwit!" He flipped his belly up using that momentum to move his body forward, landing on his feet in a squatting position before threatening me again. I pushed myself back up and ran up the last few stairs and headed towards Elexis's room,
"Shit, I need something else!" I muttered, I turned into her room sliding a little before entering. A lamp? Really? Ok. This will have to do. I wrapped my hand around the cold metal and as silent as possible positioned myself so I was flat against the wall near the door. I listened and sniffed the air, he's near! I waited, hardly allowing myself breathe. "COME ON WOLF!" I bellowed. I heard him coming and readied myself. Ultra hearing comes in handy when your prey is trying to be subtle.
His face suddenly emerged in the corner of my eye, I swung the post as a growl followed my reaction. Smack! BULLZEYE! Right into the muzzle! He fell backwards hitting his spine against the railings, he shook his head obviously hiding the fact I gave him a good knock. He charged at me, pinning me against the wall. I spat in his eyes as he brought his fist back preparing to punch, I gasped struggling to free myself from his deathly grip around my neck. Anger plastered my face as I spotted Elexis sitting against the wall, her eyes seem to stare, yet her face emotionless, what has he done!!!
"Fucking get off me Luke! I swear to god if you have done anything to hurt her I will fucking make your life hell!" I brought my knee up smacking him in the stomach, I threw several punches forcing him to step back, fuelled by anger I smashed my head against his.
Woah, should not have don't that, I should not have done that.
A blur saturated my vision. I wasn't known for much violence, but ever since I have vowed to protect Elexis I have found a new, more violent part of myself, And at this moment I knew, it was for the better, I like this rebellious idiot I have transformed into. I glanced around wondering what the hell is going on.
His motionless body started to spaz, he jerked as though electricity was shooting through his body. I watched in amusement as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, I took a step closer too him, "whatever you were thinking Luke," another step, "is never going to happen," I crouched down and pulled his hair making his face turn upwards, I lowered my voice and whispered, "now, stop trying to become an alpha, it's never going to happen! Try again and see how much pain I can really give you!" I bashed his head against the ground and brought it back up, "oh and, have any ideas like this again and you'll be sorry." Another viscous hit to the head, "want to hear the answer to that riddle of yours?" I paused waiting, although I wanted no reply, "we all pollute. But you. You pollute mine and every other wolfs world, you piece of garbage!" I let go of his limp head, allowing it to land with a the thump against the her carpet.
I always thought I lacked strength, yet here I am bashing Luke... Finally I have found the hidden mental and emotional qualities cooped up inside of me. And now, I'm ready to face the world. I stood up stretching and thought of what I should do with his body. Well, it would be suspicious if I just walked outside casually dragging this body behind me, like nothing to see here folks... Nah better not do that. I decided to take him for a little drive. I gave him one last punch to ensure he was knocked out cold. I dragged him to my car and threw him in the back seat, "Good boy."
My jeep roared to life as I took off leaving my tires screeching. I drove for a longer 10 minutes constantly checking my back. I pulled up at the side of an isolated road and dumped him near the road side, "sleep well Shit head."
I hopped back in and sped off, I slowed down nearing Elexis's house. I glanced down at my dashboard, 8:43, mum will be home in 15 minutes and expecting dinner on the table, not going to happen. Her house became clear in my vision and I pulled up leaving my headlights on so they created a misty silhouetted shadow around her front porch. The door was flung open, just as I left it I assume. I jumped out and jogged up to the house. Only now did I realise how dark it was, no lights were on except lounge room and upstairs. I shut the door behind me then continued to the lounge room, standing a chair upright that laid sprawled across my path.
"Hey, Annah!" I shouted out. I heard a faint mumble and followed the sound, I found her sitting on a chair, ropes holding her down. I ran over and shook her shoulders, "hey! Look at me! Annah!" I rushed to undo the ropes that started to cut through her skin leaving a nasty rash around her wrists. I ripped the tape off that was draped around her mouth. Finally her body fell forwards in exhaustion, I caught her in my arms and patted her hair as light cries escaped her trembling body. "It's ok, it's over."
I helped her up and walked her up stairs to where Elexis sat. I guided to her to the bed where she sat with her head in her hands.
I knelt down next to Elexis and cupped her face, "your safe now, baby, it's ok." Silent tears rolled down her swollen face catching onto my thumbs. I softly caressed her cheeks and treated her face with gentle kisses, until finally our lips touched and moulded together. I have craved her lips, the only thing I want to taste so bad, she's so special, someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. I felt her fingers tangle into my sweaty hair as she pulled me closer and smashed our lips together again, she smiled against my lips and mumbled, "thank you, Dyl. For everything."
