God this girl is stubborn. Although I too was confused with how I got here, I knew answers would come in their good own time, that's what Cameron always said and it seems he's always right, so what's there to worry about?
One thing I did know for sure was: it's going to take awhile to get her to like me.
How does Dylan even put up with her!?
Her little sarcastic comments and stuck up replies almost tempted me to push her to her death... Which in fact only would have been a 3meter push, Luke would have seen her. Well more like... Sensed her.Being sure that Elexis stayed put I strolled towards the Werecats and Dylan. I stopped 10m from the circle. "Hey!" I called out as loud as I could even though they were already staring at me with eager eyes, feeling a little insecure I choked on my words. "Get out of here!" Taking a few more confident steps forward, "Elexis isn't here so get lost Luke, go cause some chaos somewhere else!"
His eyes glowed darker with rage and infuriation, he flexed his neck crazy fast and walked over to me. In one lightning fast movement I sped to Dylan barricading him behind me. If it weren't for Cameron I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be as skilled, I just hope that he would appear if I needed him, like he said, "I'll be wherever in one howl."
"SHE'S HERE WOLFLING! BRING HER TO ME OR I TAKE HER CUTE LITTLE BOYFRIEND OVER HERE!" He continued to threaten while a smirk spread across my face, further frustrating him.
"Just stop talking Luke, you know you aren't capable of anything. Nothing," I shook my head in despair and giggled abit, "you're wasting you're time here and you know it. So here's your choices: either you leave, or I'll tell Cameron and your mother you have been snooping around for more power? Your choice."
I twirled my hair around my finger. His wolf figure twitched and flickered until he shrunk into a 6ft familiar guy. "Now that's better isn't it Luke? Now... GET OUTTA HERE!" I growled. Flexing his neck he ordered his pack to turn back and make there way out. He stared at me for a longer 15 seconds before walking away purposely running into Dylan Smacking him in the stomach with his shoulder. He grimaced as he took the pain and fell too his knees. Before running over I waited till Luke was gone. Near the mossy curtain he turned around, yellow Rays glowing in his wide eyes, his voiced filled my head: see you again.
His bulk body sunk into the curtain leaving the moss swaying from his departure. Yes, I have to admit he's intimidating but he has swore never to hurt me or work against me, for I was the one who saved his life.
Thoughts spiralled into my head, flashback to two years ago:
We were the same age, almost 15 and so innocent. Running around and getting into mischief just like any other teen. We had so much fun, so many memories to cherish, until one night we decided to camp in the forestry of the main park, in land. Thick and beautiful, a luscious green world surrounded us, we couldn't be happier. Together, just the two of us the first few days were the most best of days of my life. Swimming, climbing, running, hiking, it felt as though we conquered the world. The night he asked me out, our world flipped and turned up side down. We were sitting by the fire, were heard a rustle behind us although we thought nothing of it, we thought just another little critter doing their thang. We were wrong.
Luke was pulled back into the night. I didn't know what to do. I screamed, but only the birds heard me and retreated from the perches above us. I curled up into a ball beside the fire, crying and crying. Another rustle in the bush and I screamed at it, threatened what ever caused the noise, I couldn't really focus, all I remember was a sting on my side. I must have collapsed because that's all I remember of that night. I woke up in a pool of sweat, I saw Luke walking in the distance and followed him, he stopped at the edge of one of the cliffs we conquered on day 2. He stepped closer and so close to edge the wind blew his hair back. Terrified I knew what he was thinking. I ran over as he pushed his body forward and caught his by the arm. On my belly I used all my strength to pull him up and away from the edge. He was white, so pale, I'll never forget the way he-"Cassyyyy... Cassy?!" Elexis towered over me, I blinked trying to take in my surroundings... A tent? "Hey Cassy-kay? Don't make me do this..." In the corner of my eye I saw Elexis bring her hand up, preparing for a slap I'm guessing. She swung her hand down with such force and speed I hardly saw it travel, but she wasn't fast enough. I grasped it tight 5cm away from my face.
Gently I lowered it loosening my grip. Her eyes were wide with awe, but her lips curled showing her perfect teeth. She pulled me in for a sudden hug, her embrace warm and inviting I hugged her back.
"I'm so sorry for treating you like shit Cassy, without you-"
"I did what I had to do, it was nothing."
