Last chapter I THOUGHT I posted on Tuesday :/ I'm sorry everyone for the late notice~
---------------------------------
School the next week was very awkward.
It started off withChristina and I walking in together, laughing about the stupid things we scrolled on Instagram. I had got to the point where I could look at Tobias now and not cry... But I wasn't sure I could forgive him for what he did.
Nor do I think I could ever get over him.
We're still laughing as I finally reach my locker. Christina waves me a goodbye, and goes to her locker. I turn back to open my locker. 4-6-10 was my combo. I open it to find a small note taped on top of my history book. I grab my book for first hour, and take the note with me.
When I finally reach my desk, I open the note I found. It said it was by Uriah.
'Tris. We need to talk. Meet me by my locker before lunch so we can talk?'
I glance in his direction and notice he was starring at me. I give hi a smile and a thumbs up letting him know I'd seen him. I can see him sigh, and return the thumbs up. I turn my attention back forward, where a tired looking Tobias is in the front of the classroom, whispering to Christina. He glances up at me, but I quickly look away.
I don't want to speak to him.
*Second Hour, whew!*
Passing through the hallway, I see Christina as usual waiting by my locker. I wave at her and she returns with a warm smile.
"So Tobias was talking to me." She speaks out. I laugh, and open my locker.
"Oh really? About what? His new girlfriend Lynn?"
Christina shakes her head slightly. "Tris. He misses you. I've never seen him in this state of sadness- it's even making me feel sad."
I grab my books and slam my locker. "What am I supposed to do about it? He obviously didn't care for me enough to tell me a secret but he trusts fucking Lynn? I'm sorry Chrissy but, I just can't accept that." And with that, I start walking to my next class.
As I open the door, a giant pie is slammed into my face.
"APRIL FOOLS!" Peter and Cara yell, trying to catch their breath. Tears slowly fall down my face as I glacé towards Tobias, who sits there motionless. I wipe my face, and walk to the bathroom.
I lock myself if a stall and start crying. Shaking, I pull my phone out my jean pocket and start to text Christina.
I'm going home right now. Stop by later if you want.-T
It was about three seconds before Christina replied.
What?!? What's up girl? is it Four?-C
No, I just really need to go home. Bad day. TTYL. -T
I start to grab my stuff when I hear the door open a close. A voice I recognize way to well calls my name.
"Tris?" it says. Tears flow out of my eyes more at the sound of his voice. Tobias, leaning up against the door, is looking at me with the softest eyes. I want to run to him, hold him, know everything was going to be okay.
But I could, because nothing was 'Okay.'
"Excuse me Tobais, I was about to leave." I point at the door. he still doesn't move an inch. I step closer, but he still remains motionless. "Damn it Tobias!" I yell. "Move! Can't you see tha-" but I was caught off guard when he puts his lips on my mouth, and stars to slowly and carefully kiss me. I want to pull away, I want to run and run.
But I just stand in silence. Wait, was I kissing back?
I put my hands on his chest and pull away. I'm afraid to look, but I do anyway. His bright blue eyes practically sting through my during the eye-contact. His face looked so... upset? Sad even?
"What do I need to do toget you back, Tris. I-I don't want to lose you. You're all I want, all I have. I love you."
I think he's lying, but I know he's really not. I give out a small sigh and close my eyes. "Tobias just... give me some time to think about it, okay? This is hurting me as much as it is you. Give me some time to relax and think."
He nods, and I walk carefully past him. I walk down the long navy blue hallways, holding in old tears. I'm staring at my converse and counting each step I take.
33..34..35..36...
While counting, I had bumped into someone. I fall on the floor with the other persons papers falling on top of me. I remove the papers lying on my head, and realize I've made a huge mistake.
