Everyone starred as Tobias and I walked in hand in hand, but I didn't care. I didn't care who knew about our love, or what they thought. All that mattered is that he was mine, and I was his.

We walked into first hour class, kissing before reaching our assigned seats. We would give each other glances now and then, Christina scolding me for starring.
"So how was last night? Did Tobias finally leave, or were you putting in a little 'downtime.'" She smirks. I lightly punch her in the arm.
"He stayed for another night because I had just found out some... Bad news." I hold back my tears.
"What happened?" She asks, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"My parents... Were found dead at their home..." I whisper. She gasps, before pulling me into a hug.
"Oh, my poor baby! I'm so sorry for your loss, how did your brother take it?"
I shrug, wiping off my tears. "He hasn't been home yet, I'll tell him the news when he gets back today."
Christina Nods, then we pay attention to the teacher again.
~BELL DISMISSAL FOR SCHOOL~
I wait next to Tobias's care. 'Where is he?!' I thought, getting madder. I start to walk towards the school, looking for him.
"Tobias!" I call out. "Tobias, where are you?!"

Just as the last words escape my mouth, I'm dragged into a closet. When I'm thrown down, I see it's a girl from my history class- Lauren.
"Stay away from my Four!" She shouts, smacking me with her books. I feel blood rushing down the side of my face, but I ignore it and start to stand up.

"What the hell are you doing Lauren? Why are you doing this to me?!" I shout. She laughs, and smacks me down again.
"Four is mine, and you can't have him!" She smacks me again, my vision getting darker,
And darker
Darker,
And it's gone.

*Tobias POV*
Where is she? I've been waiting for Tris for fifteen minutes now. I'd told her I'd be here soon, and I was just returning papers to Ms. Brunswick. I hope she didn't walk herself home. I started typing her number in until I hear a faint scream.
"HELP ME TOBIAS!" It sounded a lot like Tris. I start running- running as fast as my legs could go.

I hear muffled cry and open a door to see Tris, slowly passing out. I picked her up, rushing her into the nurses office. The nurse's eyes almost popped out of her head. I lay Tris down on the bedding, and the nurse takes over.

"Please leave until I'm finished."
"But I-"
"Go and report this to Ms. Matthews, and then you can come back."
I nod, and she starts working on Tris.

All the way down the long, dark hallways I think about Tris. Her beautiful face, now bruised like a dropped Apple. I hated to see her like this. I will find out who did this, and when I do, they best be ready for fight.
