My skin feels warm as the hot shower water hits me. I felt good enough to stand, so I decided to get the stench off of me. I take the soap bar and scrub myself clean. I don't wash my hair, since my arms hurts when I raise them. I turn the water off, then walk out.

When I get back in the bedroom, I put on my underwears, a pair of black sweatpants, a grey shirt, and fuzzy grey socks. I put my hair into a messy bun, then go downstairs.

I walk into the marble kitchen and start making dinner. I decided to do something easy- Hamburgers. I take out my skillet, and turn on the stove. I place the patties on, listening to the sizzles. I walk out if the kitchen, and into the living room where Tobias was napping. I give a quick kiss on the cheek to him, and walk back upstairs to do some laundry.

I am now sitting in the bed, folding shirts and pants. I pick up Tobias's shirt, and smell it. A faint smell of him was left on it, and I smiled.

All of a sudden, I'm hit in the back of the head.

"Heh." I here someone say.

I crawl to the door without turning back, and shuffle to my feet to run downstairs.

"Tobias!" I scream, causing him to jump.

"Tris? Wha-"

I pull on him, running towards the door. "Run! Someone's here!"

We run to the kitchen, grabbing our emergency gun and two kitchen knives. I hurry to turn of the stove, then run out the back way. Tobias jumps in the drivers seat and starts the car up. I hop in next to him, and he presses the gas pedal down. I look back to see a very familiar face.

Caleb.

We continue driving until we reach the Dauntless Station, otherwise known as our local Hero's. They settled all crime.

On my mind, his face was stuck in my head.

Caleb. My own brother.

Tobias unbuckled us both, and we run inside to the station where three soldiers greet us.

"May we help you?" One of them says. He was big and buff, like most dauntless.

"Yes. Our house was broken into and tried to assault my girlfriend." Tobias speaks. He sounds so calm about this, now that he knows we're safe.

"All right, we'll send two of our patroll cars over to check the house for anything, or anyone. We will need you two to stay here until the coast is clear. Okay?" The officer speaks, tilting his head slightly to the right. Tobias and I both nod, and go to sit down on a bench.

I lean my head into his body, and he cradles me in. "Are you okay Tris?" No. "I'm okay." I respond, lying. I'm not okay. "Did you see who it was? I did."

"Who? He asks, his eyes almost popping out of his head.

"Caleb." His name almost chokes in my mouth. I can't believe him- breaking into our house after everything has happened. The move, our parents...

Wait.

Our parents. That's it. It makes sense now. That's why he wasn't upset. It was because he killed them both. They were killed so easily, from the one they trusted most. It all makes sense now.

Tears are rolling down my cheeks, and a lady officer comes over. "You okay if I take you both for questioning? If not, you can wait a little while longer..."

"No no, it's fine." I say, standing up. She takes us both to a back room with three chairs and a long metal table.

"What happened exactly?" She asks, looking at us both.

"Well, I had just gotten out of the shower, and making hamburgers. I went upstairs to do something, I can't even remember now, and Someone grabbed me from behind, sending me forward. I ran to get him," I say nodding my head towards Tobias, "and we ran. While driving away, I saw my brother. He did it. He tried to kill me, he killed my parents, he did it!"

I say the last words screaming, and Tobias pulls me in. "Tris calm down, it's all right."

I push him away. "It's never all right! All I wanted was a simple, NORMAL, life. But do I get that? No. I never do."

And I walk far, away.
