First hour was a little boring. I had spent all my time at my school in Buffalo working and programming computers. I could hack into the government system if I wanted to , but of course I don't.

When the bell rings, I gather my stuff and start walking out I find my locker, which surprisingly is between Christina, and some guy Christina called "Four"
I thought it was a made-up name until I read his locker, which said 'FOUR' with a bunch of basketball signs.

When I finally get my books and papers, I walk with Christina to next hour class- Gym. Today was easy, since we were just passing around uniforms, but it seemed like a waste of time.

I take out my note pad and began noting things that I'll need for my new apartment.
-Food
-TV
-dresser
-couch
-new cloths
As I'm writing, I notice a boy starring up in my direction. He looked buff, his hair short but not buzzed short. It looked- perfect. His eyes were a dark brunette.

I look around me to see only Christina, who was talking to a boy. I glance back down at the boy who just continued to stare at me.

The bell finally rang and I grabbed all my stuff and bolted out. When I made it to my locker, I leaned up against it and started taking deep breaths. I haven't ran in a while, so I'll need to get that habit back in order. I see in the distance that the boy is walking up towards me. 'Oh God...' I think to myself. 'What could he want?' He snakes his way up to me and just stands.
"Hi" I finally work out my mouth.
"Hello." He says back. "I'm sorry to bother your breathing, but you are in front of my locker door?"
"I am not, I-" I turn around and see I'm in front of all the basketball signs. This must be Four.

"Oh, I'm sorry!"
He laughs. "No worries. Are you the new girl?" I smile "Yeah. Tris Prior is my name."
He smiles. "My names Four. What class do you have next?" "Uh, I'm pretty sure I have Chemistry next with Ms. Brunswick."

"Nice, me too." He gives me a small smile.
"Well, I'll see you there!" I return the smile.
"Yeah, later."
I make my way to Christina.
"So I just met Four."
"Ooo!" She squeals. "How was it?"
"Okay I guess. He seems nice."
"That's good! Woah, we have 30 seconds! Let's go!"

She grabs my arm and starts running me down the hallway.
