"So what's this?" Malia asked, as she reunited with Scott, Diana and Lydia in the hallway of the school after her sister had told them she had found something.
"It's a relic." Diana explained, looking down at the library card in Lydia's hands.
"What's a relic?" Malia frowned, still confused.
"An object with a fixed association to the past." Diana said. "Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sister's bracelet in her bathroom floor. They are both gone now and no one remembers them, but they left something behind."
"How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?" Malia asked, as Diana pouted a little, still unsure about that part of her theory. But, of course, Lydia would figure out what she couldn't.
"Conservation of mass." She said, causing everyone to turn around and look at her, surprised. "The total of mass of any isolated system remains constant."
"So the Ghost Riders have a weakness." Scott smirked, as Lydia nodded.
"A relic would be the proof that Stiles existed." Malia said.
"And we could bring him back." Diana smiled, as Lydia nodded again.
"Okay, so we need to find a relic, right?" She asked. "How do we do that?"
"We look." Diana shrugged, causing the three other kids to send her a look. "It's true! Anywhere he could've been. I mean, the school for one. And... Sheriff's house..."
"You don't want to search sheriff Stilinski's house, right?" Lydia widened her eyes at her best friend as the girl bit her lip with a smirk. "After what we did to Elias?"
"I'm not gonna search his house." Diana scoffed. "I just... I'm gonna go there and I'm gonna look for something specific."
"That's literally the definition of a search." Lydia argued, as Diana sighed.
"Look, at least I'm gonna ask first this time, okay?" She rolled her eyes, snatching the library card from Lydia as she shoved it inside her purse again. "Now, are you gonna look for something? A relic?"
Exchanging a look, the three other kids sighed, having been a little worried about Diana's obsession with finding Stiles, but, considering they were as curious as her on how to help him, they nodded. Besides, there was something almost endearing about Diana's need to find Stiles, her need to help him - somehow, it was almost as if Scott had seen something similar before, even if he couldn't really recall when.
"Fine." Scott decided. "You go and look through the sheriff's house. We'll look for something here at school. Later, we're gonna help Liam and Hayden keep everyone from the party protected. Everyone that saw the Ghost Riders last night."
"How are we doing that, exactly?" Lydia asked, as Scott sighed.
"We don't know yet, but we have until the end of school to figure out." The alpha said. "We'll find a way and, after school, you're gonna meet with Diana to look for Stiles while Malia and I keep the kids safe, okay?"
And with their new marching orders, they all nodded, heading their different directions to start off what they all assumed was going to be yet another long day.

"You wanna search my house?" Sheriff Stilinski asked, in mild disbelief after Diana had explained everything she had on her theory about Stiles' relics.
"Is not a search." Diana defended herself, sighing when the sheriff sent her a look. "I mean... Not... Officially?"
"But you want to look for something in my house?" The man asked, as Diana nodded. "Why?"
