The car was cramped, with Scott, Malia, Lydia, Argent and Diana waiting inside for Liam to finally tell them that his plan with Theo and Mason had worked. This was a good plan. Not flawless, as usual, but a good one. Liam would lure the hunters out, trap them there and, once they were out, the older kids would get inside the Argent's armory to get their guns.

It was a good plan. And it was going to work. All they had to do was wait for Liam. And, after a few minutes of pure silence in the car, the text came.

"It worked." Diana smiled proudly as she read Liam's text saying they had managed to trick the hunters at the zoo.

"It's about time..." Malia mumbled, almost relieved as she reached for the handle of the door nearby to pull it open, only to have Scott reach out for her, placing his hand over hers as his arm spread in front of Diana's chest since she was sitting in between the two of them.

Surprised by the sudden interruption, Malia frowned, looking at Scott.

"Wait." He said, focusing on his hearing causing Malia to do the same.

"I hear them, too." She said, after a moment.

"Hear what?" Lydia asked from the passenger's seat.

"Heartbeats." Scott said.

"How many?" Argent asked.

"Ten?" Scott guessed, causing Malia to shake her head.

"More." She said, as Diana sighed.

"So what now?" She asked. That wasn't part of the plan, after all. "Are we breaking in, or not?"

"Not." Argent said. "The armory should be empty by now."

"We can take down a few hunters if we have to." Malia shrugged.

"We're dealing with a dozen well-armed hunters who have orders to kill you on sight." Argent argued, as the kids stopped to consider his words.

"Then how are we supposed to get inside?" The werecoyote asked, as Diana threw her head back against the seat with a groan.

"Gerard thinks we're gone." She said. "It's a good plan."

"It's our only plan." Lydia said.

"And it's not working." Argent pointed out.

"We can still do this!" Malia insisted, leaning over Diana to peek her head in between the front seats. "Let's vote."

"Guys, we just need to give Liam and Theo more time." Scott spoke up.

"We have ten minutes." Argent shook his head after checking his watch. "Ten minutes before Gerard's people flag this vehicle. Once that happens, we'll be seen as a potential threat."

"Then what?" Diana asked.

"They'll pay us a visit." Argent shrugged.

After that, there was silence. Scott frowned, however, noticing, in front of her, almost Lydia reaching for the windshield with that dazed look in her eyes she usually had when she had a vision of some kind.

"You okay?" He asked worriedly, as Lydia jumped a little in surprise, but shook her head to concentrate on her actual surroundings again.

"Yeah..." She mumbled, unsure, as Diana frowned a little, worried. "I think so..."

"We should call off this mission." Argent insisted.

"Brett and Lori are gone, and Jiang and Tierney are still missing." Scott argued. "Gerard's always one step ahead of us. We have to do this now."
