A/N: A little shorter than usual and I'm not entirely sure how I actually feel about that one, but... Anyway, let me know...
Diana still wasn't entirely sure how she had even ended up there, but, there she was, in the middle of the night, running around the woods with no one other than Peter Hale himself as the two of them tried not to get killed by the hunters going after them.
"Duck." Peter said at one point, tugging Diana down to the ground after the two of them had stopped behind a tree to catch a breath, only to have an arrow hit the trunk behind them just where their heads had been a split second before. "Run!"
Diana did as she was told, taking off further into the woods with Peter right behind her. Diana didn't have the supernatural hearing that her father and most of her best friends had, but, considering she had been trying to avoid arrows for quite a while that night, she was already growing accustomed to the whooshing sound the weapon made whenever one of them flew by a bit too close to her head. So she tried her best to use her own powers to stop any arrows that might be coming their way, breaking them in half mid-air to make sure that, if the hunters were to even find the arrows on the ground as they chased them, they wouldn't be able to use them again. Meanwhile, Peter was trying to find a place to hide, outwit the hunters or maybe tire them out, but they were outnumbered and the hunters were probably armed to the teeth, so that was proving to be a rather hard thing to do.
"How many are there?" Diana asked at some point, stopping behind a tree as she poked her head around the trunk.
She gasped, seeing about three red flashes that meant, at least, three guns, before squeaking out in surprise when Peter pulled her back just before a bullet hit her straight in the face.
"Too many." Peter mumbled. "Seven. Maybe eight."
Peter and Diana widened their eyes then, staring at one another when another arrow flew right by them.
"Maybe more." Peter said, as the blonde groaned, hitting her head against the tree behind her. "Probably more."
"What, so they sent like ten hunters to take you down?" Diana asked, as Peter smirked.
"I guess I still have some street credit." He joked as Diana rolled her eyes.
"Not the time." She scoffed, grabbing Peter by the wrist as she tugged him forward and took off with him again as soon as she heard a few footsteps nearing. "What did you even do to make them this angry?"
"Existed." Peter rolled his eyes. "I was under the impression that was the problem they had with supernatural creatures to begin with."
Diana groaned, her head snapping around when she heard a little explosion nearby when a bullet hit a tree just beside her.
"Shit..." She mumbled, looking around almost desperately as she tried to come up with a clever plan. Actually, it didn't even have to be clever. A half-decent one would be enough. "We can't keep running forever."
"So what do we do?" Peter asked, as Diana sighed.
"Well, I don't know." She rolled her eyes, sarcastically. "Believe it or not, that's my first experience being hunted down by werewolf hunters so I was hoping you'd have a better grasp about what to do in this situation."
"Well, last time I was hunted down, I tried to kill everyone that pointed a bow at me." Peter said. "Even managed to take down a few, but I'm pretty sure that's not your idea of a brilliant plan."
"You'd be correct." Diana groaned, half annoyed. "We can't fight them like this. Not us two against ten hunters."
"I think we could." Peter argued, as Diana shook her head.
