"This place looks almost haunted." Diana mumbled, looking out of the jeep's window as her boyfriend drove the two of them through the heavy rain to meet with Scott at the parking lot they promised him they would meet him in.

"It probably is, baby." Stiles almost laughed. "It's Beacon Hills..."

"Yeah..." She said. "Kind of makes me miss sunny San Francisco, though."

"But you miss home too, don't you?" Stiles asked, taking his eyes off the road for a second to look at his girlfriend in the passenger seat instead. "I mean, you miss Beacon Hills?"

"Is that your way of asking me if we should move back already?" Diana smirked, chuckling under her breath as Stiles grumbled something about trying to be discreet. "I mean, I miss the pack, of course."

"Exactly." Stiles nodded. "And they're all back here already. I mean... It's been six years since we left, baby. Scott managed to finish his college and Malia decided to just tag along with him wherever, so they've been living back here for a while. Lydia already managed to get her PhD even though I'm pretty sure she's skipped about five years of education for that, but, it's Lydia so... But she's back here, working on her mathematical thing that will win her a Nobel prize."

"A Fields medal." Diana corrected, a smile on her lips as Stiles turned to her with a frown.

"What?"

"Nobel doesn't have a prize for mathematics." Diana explained, having been corrected by her best friend on the matter a thousand times already before. "It's the Fields medal she wants to win."

"Fine, whatever. That doesn't change my point." Stiles groaned as Diana laughed. "Even Liam, Mason and Corey are back. They all finished college already. Theo is back too, but I'm not entirely sure that's supposed to make us want to come back. It's just us living away and don't get me wrong, I love the life we're having in San Francisco. I mean... I love the FBI job and I know you love your counselling job and, God, I love waking up with you every day and coming home to you, but we can... We can have this here too, you know? I mean, you can apply to work at the school. I'm pretty sure Lydia's gonna be a teacher there too, soon. I can work with my dad and we can buy an apartment together next to Scott and Malia's and..."

"A house." Diana said, her eyes never leaving the road in front of her as Stiles frowned, taking a second to process what she had said.

"What?"

"You seem to have thought a lot about this. And I'd be lying if I said I haven't too." She smiled a little. "I mean, I do want to come back and live close to the rest of the pack again. And, even though I'm pretty sure we'll be sucked back into the supernatural craze as soon as we step foot back in town - which is probably already happening since Scott called and told us to meet him urgently -, but you're right. I love our little life too and I know we can have something similar here. Maybe even better. But I don't want an apartment. I want a house."

"Yeah, well... If you want a house, you're gonna have to put up the weight with your Hale money, because I don't think either of us makes enough to buy an actual house." Stiles mumbled, almost annoyed as Diana laughed.

"I'll do it." She nodded, finally turning around to look at Stiles as he still frowned at her, a little lost. "But if I do buy a house, I expect a ring on my finger in return by the end of the year. And a promise of a baby or two in the next couple of years, when the supernatural world gives us a break."

And, at her words, Stiles gasped, struggling quite a bit not to swerve the jeep in the middle of the road. After all, they had talked about that before, the future - their future - and they both knew what they wanted. They wanted to be together, never apart again, that was the plan. And they had joked around with the number of kids they were gonna have and coming up with the most ridiculous names to give them just to mess with the sheriff and say it was payback for naming Stiles Mieczyslaw, but never before they had been so serious about it. And the more Diana kept her eyes on him the entire time he pretty much recovered from a heart attack from her words, the more Stiles knew she meant it. Good thing too, because he had already been talking to Lydia anyway about what kinds of rings she thought Diana would like - and Lydia Martin had not disappointed, making the two of them a secret shared pinterest folder where she would put specific pictures of rings she knew her best friend would enjoy. So, at her words, Stiles could do absolutely nothing except send his girlfriend of almost seven years now a beaming smile.

"I can totally get behind that deal." He smirked, feeling his heart fill with joy when Diana sent him a smile.

"Really?" She asked, as Stiles nodded.

"Really." He said. "But we should probably talk about house-hunting later, because we're here."

"Is that Scott over there?" Diana asked, her eyes squinting a little as she tried to make out the shapes a few meters away from her in the rain.

"Yep." Stiles nodded. "He found this new young werewolf and he said he was being hunted down by Monroe and Charles' forces, so he and Malia tracked him down, but he needed our help to keep him safe."

"Monroe and Charles are back in town?" Diana mumbled, a sigh leaving her lips as Stiles sent her a small smile as it usually happened whenever her adoptive father was mentioned.

"Seems like it."

"And is that the new werewolf Scott found?" Diana asked as she nodded at the younger boy seemingly talking to Scott by Argent's car. Stiles only nodded then. "What are they talking about?"

"Scott's probably telling the kid how awesome we are and how lucky he'll be if he decides to be part of the pack." Stiles shrugged, as Diana laughed.

"Stupid." She pushed her boyfriend on the shoulder a little, feeling her heart hammering in her chest when three other cars pulled up beside the jeep and, from them, climbed out Malia, Lydia, Derek, Liam and Theo.

Looking over at Stiles, Diana smiled, climbing out of the jeep as well as she closed the door after her and stood in the rain, just beside Malia by her car as the two of them exchanged a look, a smile making its way to Diana's face as it usually happened whenever she was around her pack.

"We're meeting up with some people who can help us." Scott was saying, his eyes leaving Alec for a moment to look around, his face lighting up as soon as he noticed all of his best friends standing there for him - with him. "Some of them are always with us, others come when we need them. But, tonight... We need everyone we can get."

"Are they all... Different?" Alec asked, his eyes travelling around the older people around him, looking almost scared in spite of the friendly smiles they wore.

"Some of them are." Scott nodded, looking back at Malia, who only smirked playfully at her boyfriend. "Some can do things you'd never believe."

Turning around to look at Diana, the girl shook her head fondly, sending Scott a smile and waving over at Alec. When he noticed the way the boy almost instantly relaxed a little, Scott turned to look at Stiles next.

"And others might only be human... But they make up for it by being really smart or really good in a fight."

And, at that, Stiles winked at his best friend, Lydia smiling at Alec as well, from her place beside Malia's car.

"Who are they?" Alec asked, causing Scott to turn back around to the boy and smile.

"My friends. My pack." He said, full of pride. "And you can be with us, if you want. But you're going to have to fight."

"Against Charles and Monroe?" Alec asked, as Scott nodded.

"And everyone that follows them." He said, as Alec frowned a little, clearly scared.

"They said they'd find me." He mumbled, as Diana bit her lip, almost embarrassed for the man she once almost idolized. "That they'd hunt me down and kill me. They didn't care how old I was. They said I was a monster."

Scott smiled gently then, his eyes leaving Alec to find Liam instead and, when the beta smiled back at him, Scott sighed, pleased. After all, maybe the supernatural life wasn't the easiest one and it wasn't the one he had chosen to live, but it was the one that had chosen him and, if living that hard life was the price he had to pay to keep his friends around, Scott knew he'd always choose that over anything else.

"You're not a monster." He recited, looking back at Alec, who stared at him, almost in awe when Scott flashed his red eyes at him and the rest of his pack stood proudly around them both. "You're a werewolf. Like me."
