"Fuck you, Maria!" You throw the plate onto the ground, shattering it, "Yeah, how about you clean that up you stupid bitch!" As you walk away in a fit of anger, you hear Maria quietly start to sob.
Entering your room you slam the door, rocking the entire house. You open up your laptop and start just mindlessly scrolling through work emails, you don't even read them, you're so pissed all you see is red. Tossing your laptop onto the ground, you angrily pace around your room, and before long, you start punching things, soon though, you realize your knuckles will break before anything in the bedroom does, so you flop back onto your bed face down. Your heart races and you feel your head throb as you're hit with a massive headache.
"FUCK!" you yell, laying there, all you hear is the rapid beating of your heart.
"Calm down Lucas," you say to yourself, "everything is going to be ok." You slowly breathe in and out, and after a while, your heartbeat starts to go back down, but you're exhausted both mentally and physically. You let your consciousness sink into your bed, and you slowly drift off to sleep.
Your consciousness returns to you when you hear the front door close, from your room you hear your mom and dad talking to Maria, you can't pick up what they're saying, but they soon stop talking to her and you start to pick up their conversation as they near your room.
"I can't believe Maria broke one of your plates like that," you hear your dad say, "I swear sometimes I don't know where we went wrong with that girl"
"I know, it's like she's just not been herself here recently..." your mom responds.
"Perhaps it's time we should finally start thinking about a replacement, we can help pay for it with the money we get from selling Maria", and with that, you hear the door to your parent's bedroom door close.
