You don't even think about what they say, you're too tired to think, you quickly fall asleep once again.

Just as suddenly, you're pulled out of your sleep, you can't breathe, you start coughing but the more you breathe the more you choke. You suddenly realize you're burning up, you're sweating profusely and that's when you notice the orange glow coming from under the crack of your door.

You stumble your way out of bed and open your door, you're immediately hit with a wave of heat as the brightness of a fire almost blinds you. You poke your head out of the room, but soon realize the hallway is blocked by a wall of fire, you back away from the door, your lungs are on fire as black smoke fills them with every breath you take. Feeling extremely dizzy from the lack of oxygen, you make your way across your room and try to open the window, but it's locked from the outside, not having any time to think, you get a running start and dive through your window head first, you land with a thump on the grass outside, the shards of glass stab into you.

You roll onto your back and see smoke billowing out from your now open window and into the night sky. You slowly get up and see a figure standing by the edge of the cliff with its back turned to you.

"Maria?", you yell out.

She briefly turns her head to look at you, before looking back out into the ocean.

"Goddammit, Maria! What are you doing?!" you question.

"I just wanted to look at this view one last time..." She calmly responds.

You're taken aback by the seemingly complete disregard Maria has for the situation, "Don't just stand there get some fucking help!"

Maria once again looks back at you, "Why don't you go get some yourself", with that cold remark, she looks back at the ocean.

At that moment the realization hits you, "D- did you do this?!"

"Yes..."

"WHY?!", you desperately shout out.

Maria lets out a sad laugh, "It doesn't matter now, It'll all be over soon..."

Coming from your house you hear your parents scream and yell as they burn to death, you close your eyes as they fill with tears.

"Damnit!" your body fills with rage and sorrow, you rush at Maria who still has her back turned to you, you're ready to finally push her off the cliff and end her miserable life, when at the last moment, Maria turns around and she pulls you close to her in one fluid motion, you both gracefully spin together as you two plummet to your deaths and into your watery graves below, one last dance before it all ends.
