And so the battle begins, ladies and gents! I'm not much of a good writer, but I love making up stories. Jeeze...Wish I was good at writing, it sucks:/

So maybe one or two more chapters and then its the end of WIB! I'll start the second book, just maybe...Having a lot of doubts, thinking I should just continue on this story.

Enjoy!

CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE

*Are you sure it’s here?* Damon mind linked Santana from across the meadow.

There was nothing out of place; all around animals continued their every day lives. It just didn’t feel like a day for battle. The sun was shinning brightly, the blue sky crystal clear of clouds.

Santana looked over at Derek who met her gaze. He nodded for her to explain to everyone about the letter and what she saw. There hadn’t been a pack meeting the night before, and obviously they were to out of their wits to conjure up a get together right before the battle. There were at least three packs, ready to fight, each in a different area of the meadow. As planned, the Star pack was at the front, Silver Moon pack to the back, Derek’s Full Moon pack to the right, and an ambush pack to the left which included her parents. Realizing Casey’s vision back at the Diner was true somehow, it was just that her parents weren’t fighting on her side. Santana sighed in relief over that matter.

*Everyone, I’m sure this is the place!* she mind linked her pack, who continued to send the message along to the other groups.

*Then where the hell are they?* Damon yelled, frustrated.

Suddenly, a deep shiver rushed up and down her spine like needles. A horrible thought came to her, and before she could act on it, a war cry from the village echoed throughout the forest.

*It was a fucking trap!* Derek freaked, running back towards the village. Santana followed close behind him, her mind thinking too fast to process anything. It was like her whole body was numb. But before they made it to the clearing, growls and snarls could be heard from back at the meadow. Santana felt torn, stuck between going back and defending those in the village who didn’t have enough members to survive the attack. Without another thought, she followed Derek.

The moment they got there, houses were already being burnt to the ground. Smoke rose up from the roof of the pack house. She saw a few bodies here and there, torturing her soul until bile seeped up into her throat. Gagging at the horrible smell of burnt flesh, Santana shifted back into her human form. Not caring about others seeing her naked, she rushed into the pack house, grabbing the fire extinguisher. Derek stood next to her, nude.

“Give me that, go out and get the hose. You need to smother the fire breaking lose outside. Are you okay, Santana?” he asked worried.

“I’m fine, just get that fire out, and save as many as you can!”
