Chapter 6:

Izuku Midoriya's Pov:

I got ready for my match with this Shinsou Guy. I entered the battle field not knowing what I was up against. 

"Now, ladies and Gents. It's time for the first match of the finals. On one end, we have Izuku Midoriya from Class 1-A. From Class 1-C, Hitoshi Shinsou!" I heard a Present Mic's voice roaring through the stadium as me and my opponent walked on the battle field.

"Now, if you could release your Pokemon on 3, 2, 1"  I raised my Pokeball on Midnight's mark, and threw out Riolu. Shinsou sent out a Malamar.

"Now, Riolu. swords dance" I ordered.

"Malamar, do it now." His Malamar got up close and shined a bright light on Riolu.

"Riolu! Can you here me! Hey, what did you do."

"Oh, just Malamars special ability, it can hypnotize people and Pokemon."

"Hey! Riolu! wake up!" I kept shouting, hoping that Riolu would awoken.

"Now Malamar, order it to go out of bounds." Shinsou said.

"Marmar." it said as Riolu turned around to face the side of the field."

I've been training with All might up to this point. I need to know how to break through. Come on! What would All might do? I know that Riolu is a Pokemon that connects to it's trainer with Aura. Aha, I know. I just need to communicate with Riolu through the mind. Just like it takes to use Mega evolution. If our bond is strong enough, we can break through.

'Riolu, if you can hear me. Please, snap out of it. I need you right now.

I waited as Riolu was still slowly walking.

'Riolu, more than ever. I need you. We can win.'

I saw as Riolu was about to leave when a gust of wind blew from Riolu's hand.

"Haa, I knew you could do it buddy!" I shouted.

"How? That's impossibl-"

"Vacuum wave, now!" I interrupted Shinsou as I sent out a wave of aura out on Malamar, sending it out of bounds.

"And, the winner of the first match is, Izuku Midoriya!" I heard Midnight announce as I made it t another round. I'm either. I looked back at Shinsou as I felt that something was wrong. I headed back to the waiting room and encountered Shinsou in the hall.

"You're lucky that you get to do all this training." he started off. I know how he feels, to be weaker than others for something we can't help.

"Listen. Being a veteran. It's not always about winning. It's about being able to bring a smile to the people around you. And to bound with your Pokemon. Having strong bonds, is why I'm here." I told him.

He looked astound as I left to view the other matches.

"So, how's Todoroki's match going." I sat next to Uraraka and Iida on our classes reserved seats. 

"Oh, Todoroki has been breaking through Sero's attacks."Uraraka said.

"Now, finish it with Dazzling gleam" I heard Todoroki say through the speakers built. I also let out Riolu and Bunneary to watch his battling style.

And with Sero's Galvantula knocked out, Todoroki became my next opponent.

The next battle happened to be Iida versing Hatsume. This battle could be an interesting one.
