Chapter 9:

Izuku Midoriya's Pov:

In the days after the sports festival had ended, we recovered from our injuries and went back to our normal classes. Well, some things were different.

"Hey, you, excuse me." I heard a voice behind me while on a train to school. "you're Midoriya from Class 1-A."

People started looking at me and crowded around me. All this popularity must be a problem for everyone else too.

"Good morning Midoriya!" I heard a voice behind while walking through the gates of the school.

"Woah, Iida. You really went all out with the rain coat." I said.

"Why are you walking so slowly? You'll be late!" Iida said.

"Late? There's still 5 minutes before the first bell."

"Well students should be in class 10 minutes beforehand.

We both headed to the lockers to switch shoes.

"So, Iida. About-"

"If it's about my brother, don't be concerned. He'll be fine" Iida said.

"Oh, Okay."

I arrived in class after the first bell.

"It's so weird that people recognized me from TV, everyone wanted to talk to me on my way here." Ashido said.

"Yeah, that happened to me too." Said Kirishima.

"Yeah, people were staring at me while I was walking." Hagakure said.

"Sure, but shouldn't that be normal for you" Said Ojiro.

"You won't believe what a bunch of Elementary school kids said to me." Sero complained.

"Nice try." Asui said. Sero groaned about how right she was. the door opened wide as Mr. Aizawa walked in.

"Good morning." he said.

"Good morning Mr. Aizawa." We all said back.

"Anyways, we have a big class today. On hero Informatics." Parts of the class groaned. That subject might be a too much for some of my classmates.

"You need Code names." Mr. Aizawa said. Code names? What did he mean by that. "It's time to pick your trainer Identities." The whole class jumped in excitement. We get to pick our identities. Huh.

"So, a lot of veteran trainers go by another name. But some people decide to use their real name. Some of you can as well. But this is about the things I was talking about earlier. Normaly, students don't have to worry about these things until their second or third year, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first years like you, heroes are esssentialy investing in your potential. Offers can be resigned if they lose interest before graduation." Mr. Aizawa said.

So we still have to prove our worth once we're recruited.

"So here are your totals for those who got offers." Mr. Aizawa grabbed a remote to project the results onto the black board. It showed how many offers everyone had.

"Woah, Todoroki got the most votes?" Jiro said.

"Yeah, the exact opposite in how the placed in the festival." Kirishima said.

"They probably weren't excited to work with the guy who had to be chained up." Sero said.

"If a veteran's scared, they're just weak!" Kacchan yelled.
