This is the second part of Mortem, if you haven't read that already, do so before reading Frigus, for nothing will make sense :)

aight, rant over back to the story
December 18th, 1978 - Athens
It was the night of the Auction, and to say that Nephera and Sirius were nervous, would be an understatement. They had a plan for that night, one which Ioannou, the man who was hosting the Auction, had agreed to.
Not that he had much of a choice.
Nevertheless, there wasn't much they could do. Events such as those weren't the place for brute force and duels, they were the place for quiet deals and negotiations.
Luckily for them, that was Nephera's expertise.
Unluckily for them, it made things ten times harder than they could be.
Sirius was buttoning up his shirt when he locked eyes with Nephera through the mirror. As always, she looked amazing, and the boy figured that even after seeing her dressed. up so many times, she'd never seized taking his breath away, "You look like you're dressing for business," he mused
"That's because I am," replied the brunette, "And lose the tie, I like you better without it,"
He laughed, pulling it off and letting the first few buttons of his shirt open, feeling much more like himself, "What does he even want with Hade's amulet?"
That was a question Nephera couldn't answer, not with certainty at least, "I don't know. It's power run out eons ago, sometime around the Golden Age of Pericles," she replied, huffing out a breath and pulling on her boots, "My best guess, he wants to make another Horcrux,"
A shiver went up Sirius's spine at the words, the idea of having yet another piece of Voldemort's soul somewhere out in the world didn't exactly paint a bright future for their side of the war, "Even more? I mean, we already know he had one, the diadem, and you found out that he had been searching for Helga's cup as well, so it's possible that's another one... I mean, can someone split their soul three ways?"
"Four, actually. Assuming he's following through with the theme of Hogwarts Founders, it's safe to assume that he's got Salazar's locket as well, or he's planning on it at least," she breathed out, standing up and walking up to him, helping him secure his hair up in a sleek bun
Sirius was momentarily distracted by her fingers running through his hair, "So, the plan is what, exactly, for today?"
"Well, Ioannou told us that Voldemort essentially threatened him to ensure that the highest bidder is Lestrange, however, after our... talk yesterday, that deal with Voldy is off the table,"
