December 21st, 1978 - Undiscolset Location

Regulus Arcturus Black had been ecstatic to come back home for the holidays, a feeling newfound to him. In the past, being at home meant being subjected to his mother's treatment, his father's yells, and the stuffy pureblood balls.

This year, though, was different. His parents had backed off completely the second he had gotten the mark, to the point where he could come and go wherever he pleased, whenever he pleased, with no interrogations coming from his parents. He could see Ella as much as he wanted in the coming two weeks, well, as much as he wanted while still being careful. Not to mention that he'd be spending January first at Nephera and Sirius's, alongside James, Remus, and Ailani.

Needless to say, the young boy had certain expectations for how his break would go, so it's safe to say that he was very displeased when he got word that he'd have to come to a meeting the second his feet touched Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

For once, though, the Death Eater meeting didn't fill him with dread, it didn't make his skin crawl, mostly because the wizard was only thinking of one thing during the entirety of it.

Nephera Winchester was a terrifying individual.

And she was also completely, and utterly, fucked.

For that reason, Regulus discreetly apparated to Nephera and Sirius's home the minute that meeting ended. Thankfully, Sirius was on patrol that night, meaning that he'd get to talk to Nephera alone, without his brother's typical interruptions and temper tantrums when it came to the brunette's safety.

Nephera, of course, had been expecting him. She didn't know if her plan on cursing Riddle had worked, and to what extent it had worked, but she was certain that if the bastard was still alive, he'd call everyone in for a meeting as soon as possible, "So, he's still breathing, isn't he?" she huffed out, flicking her wrist and making a bottle of firewhiskey and two glasses fly towards her

"How did you know-" started the boy, before shaking his head, "Right, you knew because you're you," he sighed, falling down on the couch

The witch smiled, passing him a glass of the alcohol, sensing that he needed it, "You're going to need that more than me," mused Regulus, letting a dark laugh escape him, "I'll admit, you're fucking terrifying," he spat

Pride flashed in her eyes, "Wait, it worked, I cursed him?"

"Cursed him? You damn near killed the bloke,"

Although she already knew that Riddle was still kicking, the girl couldn't help but feel disappointed when she heard it out loud, "Fucking hell. How did he get the antidote on time? I had every single curse I knew placed on that amulet,"

"He was in Greengrass manor- Merlin, to think he'd be dead if he had been anywhere else," he shook his head, focusing his thoughts, "I've got good news and bad news,"

Nephera quirked an eyebrow, "Go on," she prompted, unsure of whether she wanted to hear what he was about to say

"The good news is that the Death Eaters- and Riddle- are rattled. I could see it during the meeting, uneasy glances around the room, shuffling in their seats... Their sense of self-preservation is starting to kick in,"

The witch leaned forward, making sure she had all his attention, "Are you saying there's a possibility of more people changing sides?" she asked tentatively, her eyes widening

"Too risky," replied the boy quickly, "It's not worth it. It does, however, play an important role referring to the order we were given at the meeting?"
