January 20th, 1979 - Mulciber Estate

It had been a very long time since Nephera had gone on a mission. Sure, there was the trip in Athens and the Auction, but she had missed the feeling of adrenaline that came with duels. There was a hint of guilt inside her for the excitement she felt, for the mission was centred around the fact that two muggles had been kidnapped, but it's not like she was admitting it out loud.

The two muggles were the parents of a muggleborn intern at the Ministry, and Voldemort had kidnapped them in order to get their daughter to talk. The Ministry didn't know where they were being kept, and so the Aurors could do nothing about it.

That's when the Order came in.

And so, a group of about ten was slowly creeping closer to the grounds of the Mulciber Estate, gripping their wands tightly, "Alright," said Nephera, turning on her heel to face them, "Don't forget to spell that hides your face, Abscondam Fanciem Mean,"

One by one, James, Remus, Leon, Alice, Marlene, Fabian, Gideon, Peter, and Dorcas cast the spell on themselves, feeling a cooling sensation wash over their face, "Why can we still see each other?" asked Gideon

"I made it so that whoever has the spell on can also see the others who have it on, I'm not an idiot. Imagine the chaos if we couldn't look at each other," retorted the brunette

James snorted out a laugh, even after knowing her for so long, Nephera still surprised him, "No, you're definitely not an idiot," he sighed, "So, is everyone clear on the plan?"

Leon nodded, "We go in through the main entrance, create a distraction, while Lupin takes this uh- blanket?"

"It's an invisibility cloak," deadpanned Marlene, rolling her eyes

"I take the cloak, scour around the manor for the two muggles," continued Remus

Nephera nodded once, raking her eyes over everyone there to ensure that they all understood, "When we get in there, make sure to call out my name once. We need every single Death Eater on us to make clear way for Remus,"

Alice didn't like the sound of that at all, "I thought the whole point of the spell was so that they wouldn't recognise you," she pointed out

"Yeah, I second that," added James, a concerned look on his face

"I know, but this isn't about us, it's about the two muggles in there, and I guarantee that the second they hear my name everyone will rush over-"

"I don't like this," mused Remus in a sing-song voice

The witch scowled, "It'll make it easier for you, Moons. They'll rush over to us, but we'll have the advantage since the spell on our faces will shock them, it'll take a few seconds for them to find their bearings,"

She stood up from her crouched position, everyone else doing the same, "When they get there, shoot to kill, or at least gravely injure,"

And with that, the group was off, nine of them sneaking towards the main entrance while Remus pulled the cloak on and entered through the garden in the back. Nephera was the only one not gripping her wand, chasing to rely on her landless magic once again. Still, she wasn't an idiot, the Tenebris wand was safely placed inside the pocket of Sirius's leather jacket she was wearing.

They burst through the front door, behind which, as expected, was guarded by two masked Death Eaters, "What the-" stammered one of them, clearly distorted from the effects of Nephera's spell

After all, it made it so their eyes wouldn't be able to see their faces, it would confuse anyone, really, "Looks like it worked, Nephera," mused Leon, following her instructions to use her name
