May 7th, 1980 - Malfoy Manor

Nephera remembered everything

Riddle had been right, the trauma the girl had received from Bellatrix was harsh enough to be able to break down the barrier he had placed in her mind. With every crack of the whip, with every laugh Bellatrix let out, with every cry of pain the man let out, more and more memories came back to Nephera.

Ellie.

Tony.

Ailani.

The Prewett's- Merlin, the Prewetts had died.

Mia.

Monty.

Remus, oh Salazar, Remus! She had called him an animal, a beast!

Peter- she'd called him a coward.

James- she'd blamed him for the scars on her back.

Sirius, she had forgotten Sirius. She had almost killed him, she had almost killed all of them.

Godric, what was going on?

Have you ever stood up too fast, and had the blood rush to your head? Or taken a long shower and stepped out of the room only to finally breathe clear air, without the condensation, and be attacked by what appears to be an oxygen overdose? Or stepped into an arcade, only to find yourself overstimulated by the sudden lights and sounds surrounding you? Imagine all those feelings, all at once.

That's what it felt like to Nephera.

She didn't know what to focus on. The fact that the Prewetts were dead? The fact that for the past two and a half weeks, she'd been actively helping Riddle win this war, torturing innocents, killing others. The fact that she had almost killed her family? The fact that she had said unspeakable things to them in the process of trying to kill them? The fact that out of all people, she couldn't even remember Sirius? The fact that, all the guilt she had been amassing over the past four years, blissfully locked away in her obliviation, had now crashed into her all at once.

Or the fact that she was in a room with Bellatrix, with a whip in her hand, in a Manor filled with Death Eaters, her parents, Riddle himself- Oh Salazar, she was going to die, wasn't she?

"What are you doing down here, Winchester?" barked out Bellatrix, looking at her inquisitively

The Death Eater was very well aware of her Lord's order to stay away from Nephera. Obliviation was a tricky spell, no one knew what could make the girl's memories suddenly snap back into her, and intense trauma and fear was a very likely canditate to snap her out of the spell.

Nephera swallowed, trying to get rid of the mass that had lodged itself in her throat, "Riddle sent me down here," Bellatrix with a whip in her hand, "To question him,"

Bellatrix's eyes narrowed, "You can watch, but this one's mine,"

No, no she couldn't say in here. Not with Bellatrix, not with the whip. She had to get out, she had to get out and leave, she had to go to Sirius. She would be safe with Sirius.

"You've got this, I'm going back to the library, I'd rather spend my time trying to break this obliviation,"

"Since when do you say no to seeing a blood traitor bleed, huh?" asked the Death Eater, "Just last week you killed an entire family of them,"

An entire family.

She had to get out, she had to go to Sirius.

Bellatrix cracked the whip again, bringing it down on the man's back, and he screamed out.
