note: once again, IF peter becomes a death eater, it will be written out in detail so you don't have to stress out speculating
note n. 2: strap the fuck in, i have woken up from two months of complete depression and have decided that this story is taking a turn
March 10th, 1980 - Lupin Cottage
The marauders, the girls, as well as some of their were scattered around Lupin Cottage, celebrating Remus Lupin's twentieth birthday. Despite the big occasion, however, the attention was hardly on the boy but rather on the two married couples of the group, both of which would be having children sometime in the summer months. The werewolf didn't mind, in fact, he found it quite convenient that his birthday was on that day, for it was the perfect line of argumentation, "Come on, Prongs, it's my birthday! You have to make me godfather, think of how happy it would make this poor little werewolf," he pleaded
Sirius gasped, "Oh now you pull the werewolf card?" he shook his head, turning towards James, "Do the math, Prongs, Lily and you conceived sometime around the end of October, and you know what event took place sometime around October? My Halloween party! I'm practically the reason why this child will come to exist,"
"The reason why this child will come to exist, Pads, is firewhiskey," shot back Remus, "James, think about this logically. Who's influence do you want the kid growing up under? Mine or his?"
Nephera and Peter were watching from the other side of the room, laughing at the antics of the other three, "How come you're not up there?" asked the girl
Peter shuddered, "Don't get me wrong, I'll adore the child, but godfather? Absolutely not. I know my limits, and that isn't within them." he laughed, before something flashed behind his eyes, "Besides, we all know he'll pick Pads,"
Nephera could tell the final jab was a joke, and laughed alongside it, although it did make her slightly uneasy. She didn't quite know what to respond, although thankfully Peter kept talking before the silence stretched on too long, "You don't think it's a good idea, do you?"
She pursed her lips, "Let's just say you won't see me pregnant any time soon," she gave a more diplomatic answer, her eyes scanning across the room and landing on Alice, who was sitting on the couch with Lily, Frank, and Fabian, all four of them clearly discussing something that did not appeal to either Alice or Lily.
Frank shook his head, "You forced me to watch as you ate ice cream, with peanut butter, ketchup, and celery last night my love, I'd say your cravings are bad,"
"You're overreacting," snarked Alice, although the red blush on her face told everyone in the room that there was truth to Frank's words
Fabian laughed too, throwing his head back, "I'll miss you around the Auror office, blondie,"
Indeed, both Lily and Alice were stepping back from the Order, specifically missions, and Alice was stepping back from the Auror office as well. Lily was certain that in a few months, James would ask her to do the same with St. Mungos. The only reason he hadn't yet was that technically, the young redhead wasn't fighting in the front lines, not like Alice was as an Auror.
Nephera tore her eyes away from the scene and towards Sirius and Remus, who were coming towards her, "I'll be godfather, I can feel it," nodded the raven-haired boy
"Maybe James picks you, but I can assure you, Lily's on my side," rebutted Lupin
Nephera slid her hands over her wizard's sides, hugging him from behind, "Bloody thing isn't even here yet, it's got you fighting over it," she joked
Peter joined in too, "Mini James and Lily, the child which tore apart the marauders,"
The other three laughed, "Our reckoning, I can feel it," sighed Sirius, sliding his hands over Nephera's, "Unless, I happen to have-"
