October 26th, 1979 - Salem
So far, Salem had not been going too well, and by that, Nephera meant that the entire thing had been a bust. Every night they would go out and join the Thirteen Day Hallows Eve festival, in hopes that the Death Eaters would think they'd make the 'perfect human sacrifice victims' and bring them to where they were all gathered, and yet, every night they failed, "All right, this isn't working, and quite frankly I'm getting frustrated," grunted Nephera, kicking off the wall she was leaning against and moving to the center of the room, "We need to use more fail-proof methods,"
The brunette wanted to go home, it was as simple as that. She wanted to see Sirius again, she wanted to see how he was doing with moving into Grimmauld Place, and she had missed the rest of her friends as well. Not to mention that Salem was about the last place she should be at the moment, considering that most people there knew her face.
Thankfully, the seven years that had passed since she was there, and the fact that she had temporarily transfigured her hair blonde meant that she'd be able to fly under the radar if one wasn't paying close enough attention, but she'd rather not risk it.
"What do you mean?" asked Dorcas, leaning forward
"The imperius curse,"
The silence that followed was enough to tell her just how apprehensive the rest of the group was to use one of the three unforgivable, "I don't- I'm not sure about that, Winchester," said Derek, "I mean, that's illegal,"
Nephera had tried to be understanding, truly, she had. She couldn't expect everyone to be as unbothered as she was at the prospect of killing and bending the law, but it was getting annoying. What did they expect when they joined the Order? That they would bake the Death Eaters cupcakes and convince them kindly to stop killing?
Please, she scoffed internally.
One had to fight fire with fire, if Riddle was playing dirty, they had play dirtier.
"I believe," she began with a hard expression, raking her eyes over everyone in the room and making them shift uncomfortably in their spots, "That we have perhaps grown too comfortable with each other. I value your opinions, yes, but this is my mission. We tried it the good way, the moral way, and it didn't work. Therefore, we are now changing tactics. Besides, I do not need to explain myself nor my decision to anyone here, you volunteered to be part of this fully knowing what would go on,"
The group straightened up, coughing uncomfortably. There was a clear hierarchy between them, yes, but over the past month and a half they had grown close to each other, or, well, as close as one could become with someone like Nephera. This right there, though, was a reminder that there was one person there giving the orders, while the rest were following them, and it was horribly clear who was who in this case.
"Get ready, we're leaving tonight," barked out Peter, "If you don't know how to cast the imperius curse, Nick can help with that,"
Nick, the owner of the shop/flat they were residing it, and an old friend of Nephera's from when she'd spent the summer there in her third year waved lazily at them and beckoned them to follow him. They wanted nothing more than to get out of the room and the tense atmosphere inside of it. Peter stayed behind, though, carefully looking over the girl, "Too harsh?" asked Nephera
"I don't think so, more like a necessary reminder," he shrugged, fully believing in his words, "You really think we'll be done tonight?"
"I do. If those geniuses inside follow my orders, we'll be back in England in eight hours, tops," she smirked as she exited the room to see how the others were doing
